Hey guys, popping my head out from obscurity with some possibly distressing news. Every now and then I get these mini-catalogues from LH-Art that show off stuff that you can order via mail. This one that came in recently caught my eye. Now I’ve known for awhile that they’ve been taking stuff created by Japanese artists and repackaging them as their ‘Asian Art’ section for their website and through purchase through these mini-catalogues. But in this most recent one I’ve noticed that they’re now resorting to using local artists and even photos from other pay sites. So far from this flyer I’ve spotted, Jebriodo, DCM, Lingster, Rob Phipps, SheMuscle and MuscleAngels’ stuff being offered and I’m pretty sure most of it is stolen material. Just wanted to throw this out there if yours or someone you know’s work is being stolen.

I wrote Larry and he gave me a free cartoon. I’m not sure what the laws are on all of this. I know some of that is copyrighted, but I had mine at a Yahoo group. Not sure how that or deviant works.

DCM
Jebdiro
Hqadd
Digital Amazons
HardBodies
Robtbo
Purukogi
Megirim
Thinkboltadmittedly I don’t know which of these artists draw for LHArt, just that I’ve seen them on dA and Pixv, can’t recall DCM ever offering any of his muscle girls for sale save for commission so there’s a giant red flag there.
… hell has he even been asked to make a comic for Amy’s Conquest yet?
August 7, 2011 at 9:15 pm #102575stevexyzParticipantSon of a gun. I see one of my Robb Phipps commissions there, probably taken from the Comicartfans site. These drawings are not copyrighted by me or Mr. Phipps, but it’s definitely a highly unethical thing to do; take a drawing I paid to have done, copy it and then sell it for a profit. Not something I ever thought Larry would stoop to. I hope there’s a reasonable explanation for this, or I may stop posting my pics on the web. I don’t mind people copying or downloading them, but selling them is another matter completely.
August 7, 2011 at 11:03 pm #102576fasolaParticipantguys, for what I have heard, most of the stuff that might belong to dA, or other sites, people send it to him, asking for more of it, or looking for a frew membership, or whatever. He then ends up using it.
If you own something that he has posted, contact him,and I’m sure you will work things out. Don’t flame a guy without the hole picture.Just my 2 cents.
August 8, 2011 at 3:54 am #102590Ad_MeyerParticipantThanks for the images KTM. I spotted purukogi-san’s art immediately, and I’m sure I’ve
seen another art on the same page in Japan. I will issue a general alert in Japan, plus specific
alert to purukogi.August 8, 2011 at 2:21 pm #102613David C. I have been asked to do some some work for Amy’s Conquest; I just haven’t had the time to, between my personal projects and my commission work. (And I’m not generally into the kind of domination/humiliation of males stuff that are the staples of AC, and LH-Art for that matter.)
I have done a few stories for LH-Art in the past (“The Ad”, “Growing Pains Part 2”, “Killer Workouts”, and they also reprinted the first two issues of my early Satin Steele comics). And art from those books was what I expected to see, and think, “Oh, this is just KTM not being aware that Larry did pay to have me draw some comics for him back in the day.” I certainly didn’t expect to see that panel from Tetsuko in that third page; that hurts.
I’ll have to contact Larry and see what’s going on; but it’s not like him to pirate artwork like that. Unless Larry’s not running the company anymore…
Geez. First some eBay merchant takes one of my drawings, now this. I wish I could make some money off my own art! (Aside from commissions, that is.)
August 9, 2011 at 1:09 am #102619AshleeParticipantI hope thats this is a misunderstanding,
I enjoy the art work, But I’m not in to Male Dom thing either. :pinch:
some of the stories are quite good like the Gargoyle parody , between 2 girls
I love fighting in stories but not the DOM kind
I love romance stories with a little Rampaging robot, or super villain thrown in . 😉August 9, 2011 at 8:32 am #102625stevexyzParticipantAn interesting (to me at least) side note is that the original Growing Pains was a commission I had done from LH Art a long time ago! I still have the original drawings. I decided not to have them do Part 2, but I sent him my ‘script’ and said do with it what you want. Now I know who drew the artwork!
I sent a few more ‘scripts’ to them, and I think they did them all. Some were OK, some I thought came out horribly, but at least I didn’t have to pay for them!
I still resent them making a profit from my Rob Phipps commission though, unless he made a deal with Robb, then it’s all right but I still don’t like the idea. The person who thinks of the idea in the first place should get some kind of credit or recognition, although I do wish to remain anonymous. Which means I’ll take money!
All the above is said with tongue firmly in cheek. I do realize that without copyrighting any of this material it’s basically a free for all out there.August 9, 2011 at 3:54 pm #102629SammiChungParticipantI’d like to have seen a third part to Growing Pains myself!
