British Figure competitor, Lynsey Beattie, has seen Frank Cho’s Ms. Marvel illustrations. She’s posted how she’d love to be cast as her for an Avengers movie.
I don’t know a British woman can play an American superheroine, but I like her enthusiasm. 🙂
British people play Americans all the time, just look at the show House with Hugh Laurie as a perfect example.

It’s not her accent that’ll be the obstacle to her playing Ms. Marvel, it’s her physique. Much as I’d love to see it happen, no frickin’ way is a “mainstream” movie producer casting a muscle-woman in a heroic role in a movie.
(Who, me? Cynical? What makes you think that?)
I don’t think I posted the video link properly. Let’s try this:

I agree. Too much muscle, not a chance… sadly
I mean she looks more of a Binary than a MM.
That cynicism is one of the obstacles keeping superheroines from being put on the silver screen.

Well, we WANT to see these types of women as superheroines, considering they have the build for it. Yet, all it takes is to look at the hollywood trash that keeps coming out to see that muscular women are still taboo. I think Gina Carano is the first step in Hollywood considering to cast women who look a little bit stronger, but still Gina isn’t exactly what one would call muscular.
The truth of the matter is, we are still decades away from ever getting a truly muscular female character as a lead without being some kind of B-Movie, I.E. Nemesis.

not to be off topic but was Nemesis worth seeing? I can’t find a good clip of it on the web >_>
Never saw the whole thing myself, but from the clips I did see, watching Sue Price flex that incredible body of hers was hot. But I think if you’re going to go through the trouble of seeing it, free should probably be the price of admission you should look for.
