Any thoughts about this extraordinary FBB ?
There are more than a few other Female Bodybuilders out there that are clearly quite masculine as well. I am quite certain it is substantially genetic, but there is no way around the fact Caroline Wang and others in her genetic category who do not fit the "feminine" model in female bodybuilding. The question is: if we encourage women to build serious muscle, what basis do we have to criticize them if they go to the "extreme"? Also, who sets the standard or draws the line on what is too far?

October 27, 2009 at 7:28 pm #87741cpbell0033944ParticipantHang on a moment.
This person has a very impressive physique.
However.
I am biologically and genetically male. I was born male, am male, and will always be male.
Unfortunately, this person has a more masculine-looking face than me. If you superimposed my face on that body, the total would look more feminine than it does here. I am sorry if I'm hated for saying this, but either that person has a genetic intergender condition, or they are in the process of undergoing gender realignment surgery, or they have pumped an entire drugs factory into their veins. Now, let me make this clear. I'm not saying anything about this person's right to be a bodybuilder, to appear on stage, or even for anyone else to find them attractive. I understand the point being made by the poster, but I hope I will be excused the fact that, whatever is going on here, that is light years and several galaxies beyond what I can find even remotely attractive.October 27, 2009 at 7:35 pm #87742missmonstermusclesParticipantThis is sport is full of DOUBLE STANDARDS , when judging Female Bodybuilders.
Does anyone ever critique genetically male bodybuilders as being attractive or not. . Personally, I think not.
Most male bodybuilders are judged by their muscularity , not their attractiveness .October 27, 2009 at 7:41 pm #87743cpbell0033944ParticipantDouble standards? Absolutely! Look, I'm not touching upon how judging should be done in this thread. Judges should judge the physique, but there are limits. This is not a pure BBing/FBBing enthusiasts' site where the detailed physical merits of BBers are often debated. This is a site for fans of Amazonic and athletic women. Some here have more extreme tastes than others; we have had members who were into growth only and disliked muscular women period (I'm guessing you're from the States. if not, replace "period" with "full stop" or your own choice). My point is that you won't find many here who want to enthuse over this person's hotness the way we usually do.

She is very manly. It seems that apart from genitalia she looks like a man – actually really masculine man.
But sex can't be defined by looks, but however, it is the only way one can guess it in everyday situations.
Recently there have been a lot of discussion over this topic. There is no correct answer for this topic, only subjective opinions to a way or another. The final decision is always done by the ladies themselves, naturally.
The decision what is adequate is done by the fbb community. I don't precisely know whose those are, but the ones who are responsible for judging criterias and such.
But of course, in personal level there is no such thing as setting the limit.s It's a choice which everyone makes by themselves.

There is no doubt that when judging female bodybuilders, we place a greater emphasis on their facial beauty than we would a man. But the woman in those photos is not unattractive… for a man.
