For those of you in this thread who have been critical of Caroline Wang's physical accomplishments
I would advise you to check out the link posted above.

WARNING: What you'll discover on that link is a world full of hate toward ALL Female Bodybuilders
Muscular female bodybuilders  who are referred to as " TRAINWRECKS" . Some of the images have been manipulated, however it appears that the critics on this website will distort the facts to fit their point of view. Hmmm … after reading the comments on this thread , it sounds familiar.

Personally I'm appalled at the way this thread has treated a woman who has taken her bodybuilding to an extreme.

I advise those folks who have avaitars depicting Female bodybuilders with ultra Muscular physiques who are obviously  living in a " GLASSHOUSE" to see how the world views Female bodybuilding.

As far as I can tell, after viewing the content on the LINK, is that  most of you are no better
and far  worse critics of female bodybuilding then the critics condemning ALL female bodybuilders.

Bravo Amaz0ns ! Way to go!

The way you gotta see it, is that we all have differing opinions on this. Were all obviously not going to have the same one, because if we do, doesnt make us unique at all. Im not knocking what shes accomplished, because I think if shes really done a lot to better herself, she can go ahead. More power to her. But this discussion has gone so downhill, and so terribly, thats why ive been throwing in jokish related material to "lighten" things up a little bit, so some people arent going to get backslapped.

But hey, some of us like things to different degrees. Some of us just like so much that a figure should encompass the world. So because youre attempting to encompass the views of the few, and say its the views of the many, really doesnt make sense. So to give myself some piece of mind, I'm slipping out of the thread. 🙂

You're the one living in a glass house.  (This will be my last comment as I'm bored with this thread.)

What I strongly disagree with is people who actively encourage other females to abuse steroids and take their muscles to the extreme.  We're accused of "objectifying" women, yet those who claim to just care about the muscles encourage the use of steroids!?

Encourage the use of substances which can cause a shift in gender just for the sake of building muscles?  Obviously, that would be considered a form of objectifying as well!

I would never encourage a woman to build her muscles to the extreme, it is just not what the female body is meant to do.  In reference to what FBB Amber Steel said, "A fig is a fig and a tree is a tree, you need to accept what your body is and not try to change it."

Everyone knows the judges of FBB are a sham and the entire sport is garbage.  Why?  The women don't get paid nearly as much as the men do and therefore they still do not amount up to the men's competition.  Women should be judged on the amount of muscle they can build and train naturally.  Obviously, that would be in freaking possible because most competitors would hit Fitness, Figure, and MAYBE lightweight.

Most male bodybuilders DO NOT LOOK LIKE FEMALES.  There is nothing inherently feminine about them, are they judged on a attractiveness?  No of course not, because it is naturally accepted that males are the muscular species and therefore it is not as difficult to balloon to such large sizes for them.  Yes there's still drug use, but it is accepted socially that this is how they will be.

I also don't believe that females are judged on their attractiveness, so to say or think that they are is looking for excuses to counter my argument.  If it was really judged on attractiveness Iris Kyle would not have won.  She is not hideous by any means, but by standing next to Heather Armbrust and Yaxeni Oriquen, those two would have won the beauty competition if it was based on that.

If I was judging an FBB competition and I saw the popular female FBB's and then Caroline Wang and her buddy.  I am going to choose the popular FBB's because in my eyes those women who have went to the extreme with their body that they seem to be another gender, is disqualified.  It's a female body building competition not an androgynous body building competition.  If we're going to include the heavy weight class and have drugs be a factor, then the only female competitors I want to see are the ones who stayed within the rules of the competition.  That is look female, be as muscular as you can without crossing over.

You cross over, you go into another category of bodybuilding.  If you have masculine features you are DQ'ed from the FBB aspect, the same would apply for men if they looked like women; though it's a lot harder for a man to look female than it is for a female to look like a man.

Anyway, that's all that can be said.  Monstermuscles you are ahead of your time, the world and most of the community is not going to be ready for androgynous body builders.  If the track runner from Africa couldn't be accepted then certainly bodybuilders won't be accepted (yet) either.  It's hard enough getting the world to understand that female body builders are not as gross as the media portrays them, but when you add someone whom you can't tell the gender of into the mix; it makes it so much harder.

It is a niché within a niché and I'm sorry you feel outnumbered but you're one of the few people who thinks that kind of look is awesome, and this forum is not ready for that kind of competitor.

btw. there was an article in musclerx about a transgender bodybuilder.

If the track runner from Africa couldn't be accepted then certainly bodybuilders won't be accepted

Off-Topic, again, but this case hasn't been certified yet. IAAF will make their statement in this month, but because it has taken for so long for them to make their decision, it's quite obvious that they found something in the sex tests. However, she won't lose her medals.

I think we haven't even seen the TIp of the iceberg regarding female athletes, who are bigger, stronger and faster then anyone on the planet.

There's a whole new LEAP in genetic mutation called Liam a rare condition loosely called myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy that causes the muscles to grow  at an enormous rate . So far , what I've read, only a few male children have been discovered to have this condition . But I'm sure there's a little girl out there somewhere bending the bars of her crib just itching to get out!

And most genetic "mutations" also come with serious downsides. Myostatin hypertrophy that a subject doesn't outgrow, (it usually manifests in childhood and disappears by late childhood) is accompanied by severe heart muscle damage. Its not just the show muscles that overdevelop, but ALL muscles, including the heart which is in its entirety.

The world isn't some comic book where a chemical, serum, radiation or insect bite creates a muscle freak that lives a normal, healthy life amongst us, except when they rip off their shirt.

You tweak a gene, it doesn't effect just one thing.

Ya think? I don't know. Caroline Wang reminds me a lot of Juggernaut. I think she has the mutant X gene ;D

EXACTLY.  If it were that simple, we'd all be genetically engineered by now.  A lot of it is down to gene expression modulation, which is an immensely complex area.
