Reminds me of a MarcNew story

Well, many people object to the use of embryonic life for stem cells in the treatment of illnesses such as cystic fibrosis, Parkinson's etc., so this is an alternative.  Might I point-out that many of the objectioners are American Christians?

As for the idea of using bone marrow stem cells to let same-sex couples have kids; well, that it more contentious.

The ubiquity of the reaction's driven me to apathy and concluding that it's gone beyond "typical". But this line really irritated me:

"Yes, there are children raised by single parents through all sorts of circumstances, but when you are talking about deliberately creating children in that way, that is morally wrong."

Now i'm reminded why i threw away my morals in favor of logic…

Ah, the Daily Mail is such a joke… that story has been around for months and even before that, it was considered possible some years ago that it would be possible to use two eggs to create a viable embryo.

So, yes – men are pretty much unnecessary.

You only need to watch Have I Got News For You to get an idea of how sensationalistic the Mail is these days.

Amazonians everywhere will rejoice at the prospect of women using their bone marrow to create sperm.

Women didn't know it, but we've been obsolete for years.  We've been hanging around based on reputation alone. Kind of like Randy Johnson or Kerry Wood.

Hmmm, they said the same thing about cloning, with both sexes being "obsolete".

The old fashioned way of making babies is far too common, far too cheaply done and far too pleasurable to ever be subplanted.  8)

Also, since the topics have the same URL source, I merged the two threads.
