Originally came across this, interestingly enough posted on a real world bulletin board. There's a few other variations on it posted on the 'net, but this seems to be the best version.

Both amusing, and with much common sense wisdom about us, the way the male brain is wired. ๐

This one, for my money, isn't too bad, but some really are "poor girl, don't worry your pretty little head about these complicated things", and that tone irritates me immensely. We here all know that grown women are as mature (probably more so) than grown men in general. BTW, I am similar to the typical male in that list, except for a couple of things:
1. I'm not a beer drinker, and, if I did, it'd be BEER, not that gnat's urine that passes for beer in the States and is now the drink of choice for the 'lads' in the UK as well. Now, single malt is another matter entirely. 8)
2. I actually like shoes. Boots especially. Go on, ostracize me. ;D
Other than that, yes, it's pretty close to the truth. Us males, at least most herterosexual males (no homophobia, just that I'm no expert in how many gay men think, for obvious reasons) are quite simple creatures and, in most cases, nowhere near as sexist or oafish as the mass media portrays. Of course, there are Neanderthal-types around, and, tragically, a few monsters as well. :'(

Ah, you mean Budweiser? Yes, that does taste like horse piss – Old Milwaukee thatโs the one that tastes like kerosene. The rest of the commercial mass-produced lagers in America have all the favor of Kool-Aid. ๐
No wait scratch that – even Kool-Aid has more redeeming favor to it. ::)
For my own part, I enjoy (micro-brewed) Berghoff – preferably the dark, or bock. ๐ 8)

Yes. I try to stay away from most of those kind of American beers.
I do prefer Michelob Amber Bock. I also like Guinness and Killian Red if available. And I like trying different beers. Trouble is, the price of imports over American brands make it hard to get what I really want sometimes. ๐
Does anyone else find this true?February 24, 2009 at 5:05 pm #80625cpbell0033944ParticipantSo if you US guys don't like it, why is it so popular here, I wonder? Must be image, I suppose – proper beer has a "beard and sandals" image here. Drinking vast quantities of Budweiser or Stella Artois is the "thing". ::)
