I think in the Marvelverse, mutants are refered as the omçnes born with the superpower, however, I never saw a reference for a special name for the other superheros, the ones who gained their superpower in adulthood. I think that's the problem at Marvel, because the word mutant, refers to those people who have a diferent dna patern in their cels, no matter when the mutation satarted.

Nope. Mutants are homo superior. Humans are homo sapian.

Ze fly – Yeah let's stick with that 😛 it makes the most sense.

Also that metahuman page claims telekinesis is not a superpower. SuperHUMAN powers are powers that normal humans have. Just plain superpowers are powers that are beyond what most humans could ever achieve through ANY means.

Nice job on the scan, ZeFly, spiffy they are!  😎

Personally, its my opinion that whether born with, or acquired afterwards* the terms parahuman, metahuman, superhuman – in their application as classifications defy being narrowly construed to one side or the other.  What matters is how the given writer of a story is using them in reference to the characters.  The same could just as be easily said of "Homo sapiens superior" – for in actually, if that was to be used literally as a distinct and separate race, then they couldn't cross bred with Homo sapiens and expect to have sexually viable offsping, if any at all.

Case in point, the current scientific theory about Cro-Magnons and Neatherthals has it that genetically they were just close enough to have "possibly" been able to produce offsping, but in turn they'd be unable to have children of their own.  In effect, muling out as a dead end on the evolutionary chain.

*The terms modified or retrofitted would work just as well, I think.
