Epilogue
~~ Quo Vadis? ~~The Multiverse – Realm of Equal Opportunity Growth Potential
System Sol – Planet Earth (Alt Zero-Zero-One)
United States of America
State of Illinois – City of Chicago
Time Zone: Atomic Age – Circa 21st CENot wishing to take any chances with Chaos and Anarchy, in addition to the encasing manacle-fetter chains locking down their limbs, as per pre-established Metahuman control and containment protocols, the pair of them was being pumped full of powerful narcotics to insure their docile passivity. So far as Michael and Yolanda were concerned, they seriously doubted that the shackles, as impressive as they might appear, would be much of effective restraint should the drugs lose their potency. They had strenuously stated as much to the authorities that extreme vigilance should be applied in handling them – especially given the super recuperative-resistant physiologies involved. Beyond that, the matter was out of their hands – as it had to be for as law-abiding members of Fantastic Force, they were protective enforcers of the law and not the judges or even executioners of their would-be assailants. Secured to a pair of palettes made of solid steel and using a overhead crane, first the prostrate body of Chaos and then that of Anarchy were loaded onto the back of an US Army flatbed semi-transport.
As to where they were to be interned was something of a mystery to all concerned – but Michael and Yolanda had their own ideas. According to what they had been privately told by Yolanda’s Uncle Darius aka Number One of the OSS – a super secret ultra maximum-security prison system existed for the benefit of such outré incorrigible prisoners. One branch of it was located in Nevada – The Pit, another in Antarctica – The Freezer, although, incredibly enough, a new section was currently under construction on the Moon just north of the Sea of Showers in the Plato Crater. Just as with its terrestrial counterparts this off-world facility was also an underground complex and so secure as to be impenetrable from outside assault or inescapable from within, hence its title as The Tomb.
“Who do you suppose they are,” Katherine asked, “I mean really for real.”
“Not certain,” Yolanda mused, “but I had the distinct feeling we’ve met them before – and Chaos certainly implied as much to me that we’ve crossed swords before in the past.”
“Well Milady,” commented Daniel, “it can’t be as thine are now . . .”
“No, certainly not my good friend – and it’s no accident that they’ve been seriously enhanced as Metahumans.”
“Only nearly so, my Princess – neither of them are a match for us in one-on-one sparing match, gender-wise.”
“True, my Chieftain – she’s like a Titania rival to my She-Hulk and he’s your . . . Juggernaut foe for the wont of a better analogy with your Thor-like self. Working together they’re a highly dangerous as we found out – but I still cannot help wondering what type of process could have created them.”
“They don’t strike me as the types who would willingly cooperate – or can be intimated into doing so.”
“Hmmm, it might not be necessary – and why I asked for a blood samples to be taken from them. Hopefully, when their DNA has been thoroughly analyzed we’ll have a better idea as to metamorphic genesis of their creation – perhaps even discover their true identities after its been ran through the national identity database.”
Their conversion was interrupted by the semi-flatbed hauler firing up its diesel engines as it began to pull away from the locale – a path that presumably was headed in the direction of the interstate. In its journey to wherever it wouldn’t be traveling alone – in convoy fashion guarding the front and rear of the military transport was a bevy of escorting Humvees. As the cab of the semi-tractor passed them by Michael and Yolanda noted with interest that the driver was a woman – a rather attractive looking brunet with sharply expressive gray-green eyes. The olive-hued man seated beside her smiled good-naturedly – and as would a railroad engineer to those at a crossing gate gave them a brief wave of camaraderie in salutary acknowledgement.
“Maybe,” Michael added softly, “but I have this strange feeling that we haven’t seen the last of them.”
The End?
December 20, 2018 at 8:31 am #142166crimson_e_86ParticipantThat’s it for now, I want to thank AlexG for permission to bring back his stories. I think I have his other story which I believe is called the “The Power” somewhere in my files. Also, I have a few more M/F muscle growth stories from other authors that I or someone else can add to this topic.
WOW, this was fun.
Later
December 20, 2018 at 3:09 pm #142168AlexGKeymasterActually “In Single Combat” is a sequel to “Yolanda’s Formula”, which makes it #2 in the series.
Admittedly, the entire series [The Adventures of Michael and Yolanda] is very comic book / action adventure oriented in nature.
It’s tied into the Tales of the Multiverse stories, but as a series unto itself.
By the way, I left you PM, so remember to check your in-box. B)
I think that went well, so, let’s continue.
Fun fact: this next story is one that I personally asked AlexG if he had or knew where to find a copy anywhere in the many FMG forums and sites. It turns out he added a spin-off that I wasn’t aware:
