For those interested, below is a link to a picture of a concept cartoon created by Stan Lee that never made it past the drawing board. This was originally presented in Comics Feature magazine from the Jan/Feb 1985 issue.  I happened to be cleaning out some of my old comics and magazines to be sold in the near future and I found this magazine.

It appears to be based on a woman finding a large statue of a woman in chained to a stone tablet. Obviously the woman breaks the chain and now can become the Monstress whenever she raps the "ropes" together on her wrists. She appears to grow in size to about seven feet tall and has super-strength.  However, she has no muscles to speak of.  It would be fantastic if one of our resident artists could recreate this concept that way that it ought to be.  ;D

From what I can gather, the tablet says, "Whosoever breaks the chain will be (given) the (power) of the Monstress". The words in parenthesis are my educated guess what the tablet states. I'm just trying to fill in the blanks, folks.

Oh that Stan Lee! The man who gave us She-Hulk.

Monstress, now there is a name/concept someone around here totally needs to have some fun with. It'd be cool!
