His name is Elliot Taylor, not “Frankenstein’s Monster.”
That character’s name is Elliot Taylor, not Frankenstein. The Creature Commandos were the first fictional military squad I ever came across in my first ever issue of WHO’S WHO IN THE DC UNIVERSE, and I read their entry in that volume of the series very carefully because I liked the idea. The four Creature Commandos – the Patchwork Man, the Werewolf, the Vampire and Dr. Medusa – were all soldiers who were made into duplicates of the Universal Monsters as a way to shock their German and Japanese opponent, including Taylor, whose nickname, ironically enough, is given as “Lucky.”
