    The translation is slightly wrong.
    The german lyrics are
    “Manchmal, aber nur manchmal, haben Frauen einen kleines bisschen Schläge gern…”

    The text leaves it open, who is slapping who.

    I would translate it like
    “Sometimes, but only sometimes, women like little beatings…”

    If you just listening the song, someone would think, the man is besting the woman.
    But luckily, it is the other way round 🙂

    A couple of notes about the Shelley Beattie clip 1) you notice how young those competitors were — 29, 24 and 22 respectively. Wow has the sport aged, and we simply aren’t getting the influx of young women like we used too 2) seemed like Shelley had everything going for — beautiful, joyful personality. I know she had a hearing disability, but is that reason enough to want to “do yourself in”? There must have been an evil, evil presence in her life who pushed her over the edge…

    She suffered from bi-polar disorder.. She fought for a long time against it and then it defeated her. As big a dick Romano was I don’t think it caused her to become a lesbian.
