Whether you call them pixies, pixel dolls, micro heroes or micro dolls, they are a hell of a lot of fun to make. Despite their small size, they are not as easy to make as they may seem. There was a period in the late 90's where micro dolls were the hottest thing. There were hundreds of sites with millions of original and inspired micro dolls of so many different styles. Sadly, I missed that era. I didn't learn how to make them till about 2001. Still, there are some lingering sites out there which continue to be updated. Most of them showcase characters from Marvel comics, DC comics and Star Trek. If you want to know how to make them yourself, let me know. I will teach you as long as you have the time to learn. Once you know the basics, it's easy to become an expert.
