This is my first try to model Big Musclechick in Maya – rendered in poser with hair… It's not rigged nor mapped yet, just plain mesh . -> ALOT of work ahead to make it poseable etc, but i will…
Learning maya takes time but the results are going to be out of this world… 😀

    Constructive criticism appreciated… 😉

Intesting, I'm not sure I can tell the difference between the other models. but it looks like you've got a solid…start? XD

The anatomy on the back needs a bit of work.  I know your girls normally have exaggerated muscles, but it always looks better when the muscles are accurately exaggerated.

The front of the legs look like they're cut in too deep not as smooth as it should be.  Like what you did with the rest of the body, though I have a hard time believing those ballerina feet can support a mountain of muscle like that!  😀

I have to agree here, as unfortunately I don't know enough about 3D modeling and rendering.

It looks very good though: nice muscular detail and volume. Often, the thing with large models is that they are just big. With these you can tell that it's really the muscles and not the flesh which are bigger (if that make sense).

I have to say Tigersan, this is quite cool for a beta version. Or Pre-Alpha? 🙂

I am looking forward to see the final model.

I have to say, she looks great.

The only question I have is are you going to do all your models in Maya or are you going to continue using both platforms.  I would love to see some of your smaller women in Maya as well.

I plan to learn maya and use it later on, because its possibilities are limitless… Poser has limits unfortunately and im starting to see the end of the possibilities. Its time to switch. For now im learning maya, i know how to model and thats it, lol i need to learn UV mapping, Rigging, animating scripting etc… so for now i know 1% of all i should to use maya proficiently.

I'll continue to use poser till I see I can start using maya alone.

Thanks for sharing Tigersan.  It's always great to see you picking up new tools!  Your new 3d model looks like it could be the start of something good.  😀

I know you're just starting out, but her hands and pecs still seem a bit blocky.  Plus, the muscle separations, especially in her lower body, look carved into her and not, um… the natural consequence of big lobed swells of flesh expanding against each other.  If that helps at all.

Very nice…I'm impressed your first Maya project is nothing less than a character from scratch.

The fingers look bony to me, and I would straighten out the thumbs before attempting to rig it.

I'd love to see the mesh for this.
