i just had a dream in which l was having breakfast with an Asian couple who greatly resembled my parents. The man urged me to try this new cereal, so l picked up a square with my spoon and ate it. l then said, “now l’ve eaten your cereal!” Then l heard a soft female voice ask, “Do you know how to tell when you’re walking in your sleep?” l replied, “That’s impossible – l can’t do that, because l can’t remember if l’ve walked in my sleep – nobody can!” That’s when the whole scene erupted in a slew of swirls and sparkles. Looking back behind me, l saw the silhouette of a woman whose hair was set in bangs, just iike my mom’s. “You’re real, aren’t you?” l asked. “Yes, l’m real!” she said. “Then touch my hand!” l replied. “Why should l?” she asked, and then l yanked my hand out from under my pillow and immediately snapped awake. l was shaken, but okay – the victim of one hell of a night terror. i knew what to do because l had beaten the fear long ago.
