I recently took an online personality test along the same lines as the Myers-Briggs test.  I did it at this site: http://similarminds.com/jung.html
I learned that I am type INFP.  I got to thinking about it, and started wondering how many other members of this community would have that or similar personality types, since my type frequently is "looking for a savior".
Anyone else care to weigh in?

INTP, Architect.  Interesting but I wonder how accurate it really is?

INTP, Architect as well.  I don't think it's too far off, although I question the ability of Myers-Briggs type tests to accurately quantify subjective personality characteristics (I think these tests are largely designed by people who tend to value concrete data over squishy unmeasurables, and I think it tends to prejudice the results.)

Well if I was going to be 'statted out' I guess this questionarre labels me an Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judging.

For the archtype of "Author". Strong drive and enjoyment to help others.  ???

I guess it is perfectly understandable that many of us have doubts about the validity of this sort of test.  I went through some training for work recently, and the trainers recommended this test.
My mother has described people in terms of their MB type since I was a child, and I have long discounted it as hokey.  When I took this test yesterday, I was surprised by its accuracy in describing me.  It looks like not everyone is as impressed by its insight.

And since we seem to be sharing these the test called me a "Questor", which sounds like something out of a bad sci-fi movie.
At any rate, thank you all for sharing.

Well just to point out, both vocal doubts came from intp's. Skepticism is indeed an intp trait.

To offer up a 3rd intp perspective. Myers-Briggs is not accepted or sanctioned within the psychological community (read: accepted by science). It instead has its niche predominantly in human resources, consultancy, authors, and hobbiests.

Myers-Briggs does generally tend to be fairly accurate. The descriptions of it's "16 types" are all distinctive. It creates a structured framework of base character traits. It was created to be exactly what it is today: a tool. As it goes with any tool, use it, don't use it, in the end the only thing which counts is not what opinion someone else has but rather did *you* find it to be a useful tool.

Some factoids that might be of interest…

    1. On the S/N pole, S accounts for about 80% of the population and N for about 20%
    2. It is more common for an N-type to express interest in Myers-Briggs
    3. Isabel Briggs Myers (INFP) and Her Mother, Katharine Cook Briggs were inspired by  the book "Psychological Types"
    4. "Psychological Types" was written by famed psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung (INTP)

I'm an architect and I'm also INTP – an "Architect". Hmmm.
