You'll always have certain percentage that feel otherwise, but taken as a group I think that most prefer the toned, but shapely-curvaceous off-season look. 8)

I wonder then, why don't we have female bodybuilder contests featuring a softer, bulkier more sensual off-season shapes?
Who decided that female bodybuilders should only compete when they have 2% body fat and silicon enhanced boobs?
I really don't get it. I think that if they created a female bodybuilding competition based on beauty and sensuality , if it would be much more popular and mainstream then the ones we have today. And plenty more women would want to compete in them.

It's a tough one. The problem is that if they don't have the low level of body fat you can't judge the muscular definition. Also, it's easier too build muscle without losing fat, so it would take some of the competition out of it. What you're talking about is buff beauty contest, which would be great, but not really bodybuilding.
