I can’t relate to many of DC’s superheroes either. But what does it matter where Diana comes from if she’s using her gifts to help protect the World? She could be a Russian superhero and people would still be grateful for her efforts.

Also, she doesnt really provide JL with any interesting and complimentary powers — for all intensive purposes she’s just a mini-Superman. And one thing they MUST do with WW sooner or later is update her costume — it is the tackiest, cheesiest and least cool costume in the entire DC Universe.

They totally did update her costume! Then the internet shit itself, so I doubt we’ll see her in anything other than her usual duds for quite some time.
Women feel incredibly proprietary about the Wonder Woman character even though they don’t read the comics or know the character. That’s why doing anything big with her is so damn difficult. Even the New Young Justice passed on a Wonder Woman analogue for their opening episodes. We got Miss Martian’s invisible jet instead. Lol
A better idea would be for a Wonder Girl tv show with a prominently featured Wonder Woman and Donna Troy. Play up the teen angle, and understand that when WW gets involved outside of her mentorship role that the ass is gonna get beat!

But make it superheroing with a bit of comedy? I could get that, kind of like a less surreal version of the Middle Man.

Great costume, attractive hairstyle, whats not to like.

This guy must not read comic books we already have a female executive who doubles as a superhero and the chest hole in her costume has become more squared off lately. 😀

The reason being I think there would be more potential to do more stuff like teen titans and young justice etc. They could incorporate a lot of side characters that would never see the light of day. The only hitch is that it could turn into smallville from a female’s perspective. But that is not a bad thing, I mean the show has been around for about 10 years now I think.
But seeing how the show is set in motion, my rant is kind of moot. That being said I officially cast my meaningless vote for Julia Benson for the role of Diana/WW.
If you don’t know who she is, she played 2nd Lt. Vanessa James in Star-gate Universe. And if I read correctly, she is all natural. You will understand when you see her pics 😉

I’ve always thought that a female version of Smallville with Diana instead of Clarke was an absolute gimme! Superheroes are big at the moment, as are female teen dramas. Why not combine the two!
