ParticipantThe following is a submission to an Israeli art magazine that focuses on all variations of Sex; I told the editor that "muscle worship" (or whatever the name for it is) is probably the last of the non-harmfull sexual deviations that is still waiting for public legitimazation… Each issue has a theme, and after almost 2 years of publication they're starting to run out of new ones, so there might be some good news coming soon…
Also got a question for you guys, which I'll post in a short while 🙂October 12, 2005 at 12:50 am #15120Yatz57
ParticipantI'm not quite sure how to put this question – I have a talent for putting people off with a few ill-chosen words – but I'll try.
The thing is, about 2 years ago I quit drawing the muscle gals – I was actually turned off to the whole thing (and this after about 25 years)… The reason, I figured, was just me getting sick of stuff I was doing for other people, which was way too violent or sexually explicit for my own (rather mundane) tastes. Now, I seem to be "back", with the drawing fever in full force, but I would also like to be able to make a bit of money doing it… So, my (very practical) question is: are there any venues – outside of LH-Art, Awefilms etc., where a guy could sell nice, family-oriented drawings of big, iron-muscled women, possibly fucking nice, contended men – or other women (I didn't specify which family this would be oriented towards!). I don't think eBay would be a good choice – people are complaining my "normal" women are too muscular, as it is… So, if anyone has an idea or a suggestion, it would be very welcome!I wasn't sure about the proper place for this post, so I put it as a reply to my original one, making it easier to move – if necessary

*Sigh*… This after reading Eegore's closing up shop…
Frankly making "some money" out of this thing is very hard unless you've got a running gig like DCM or are willing to do commissions (often filled with the x-treme violence and sex that turns you off) Funny thing is, there are a LOT of online comic groups that seem willing to sponsor a wide range of genres (as long as it isn't hardcore porn). I don't know if they "make money" as you say, but I've always wondered why someone doesn't attempt to do a 'chaste' muscle girl online comic at one of these places (I'm thinking of making a go). I just can't think of any muscle girl comix sites that aren't porn related.
You might bite the bullet and put out your own site again (I think you had one before). Maybe you could mix an ongoing story with occasional commissions like DCM does and link up with some kind of webring (again I don't know if it would only be porn related).
I don't know if any of this helps…

ParticipantGreat stuff Yatz, love pencil sketches
ye also agree with u on teh point that the interest in female muscle seems to be correlated to male domination alotta times and i kinda lament taht. Though alotta the big sites related to female muscle enthusist have a strong presence of male domination as their theme and myabe that might play a part in it.
Which is sorta why i liked wreckshop and amaz0n, as its so far represented a portrayal of female muscle i like (no offense to teh male domination fans).

ParticipantSadly, there is too much of the violent/domination type muscle lass drawings and images about on the net today….and not enough of the "tender" (if thats the right word) type stuff
Many of you will know that I dont do violent stuff….just sexy ( sometimes too sexy). I will never make a fortune or even a living drawing …partly cos I dont want to and partly because making a living out of art (ANY kind of art) is precarious at the best of times. What I DID do was make a CD of quite a lot of my drawings. In the 3-ish years it has been in existence, I have sold…erm….4.
I enjoy drawing muscular lasses ….VERY much…and I've been doing it for a lotta years. To be paid for doing so would be great, but with payment comes pressure to complete…. and that I dont need. So I shall continue sharing my stuff for nuffink and enjoy doing so ( just so long as "Yeahar" or whatever they're called dont pull the plug on me …again).
I understand that some drawists find doing the same subject time after time after time get to the overload point and ideas run a bit thin. It is the artists equivalent of writer block. It passes, but only if you want it to….glad to see, Yatz , that you havent given up drawing muscle…..Making and selling a CD is just a thort, but if you find a way of making your fortune easily …let me know …Te he.
REALLY great drawing , mate. Well done
regards
