ParticipantThis latest research has developed software to morph any person on video by height, girth, and muscularity instantly. Imagine the possibilities!

TC2ParticipantVery interesting, however and not to rain on the parade. I can already see some of the problems with this tech in that there are going to be limits to what that software can do.
I saw from the guy playing basketball that even though they tried to make the dude look fatter, he still looked as though he had a body that was in decent shape. So you can’t necessarily make a fat person look muscular nor can you make a muscular person look fat. The tech only adjusts the mass but not the texture.
This could come in handy for movie actors who don’t want to ruin their bodies by gaining weight for a role, but without the textures being updated as well… this stuff can already be done in another programs.
The hardest part though, is actually making sure that data goes on the right portion of the video. It is far too frequent in video that when you’re editing or putting an effect, a messed up camera angle ruins the entire thing you’re going for.
It’s still interesting software and I hope they continue developing it, but I wouldn’t get too excited with what it can do now.

FlakBaitKeymasterI’d be substantially more impressed if the software could make all these talentless pretty actors look like they can act :p

ParticipantWow, that’s very impressive stuff! It looks like they combined video tracking technologies with 3D texturing. Very clever.

ParticipantWhat a worthless piece of SH…
Crap.
Why, why am I reading this? No, even better question. Why am I wasting my precious time responding to this?
This sucks.

TC2ParticipantDude, you’ve become such a troll lately, what is your mental malfunction asides from superiority complex? Knock it off before you become what you hate.

ParticipantNo, I just hate to read stupid things like this.
Presenting mediocrity as awesome. Pathetic and stupid things as groundbreaking.
It’s like creating a topic:

TC2ParticipantThen don’t read it, your opinion is just that an opinion. If you don’t have anything to contribute to a thread besides “THIS IS STUPID” then you might as well get reported for trolling the forum.

ParticipantSolarian has plenty of cred around here, as do you. You both contribute a lot here. It is certainly hard to know what you think of a topic before you read it, so I don’t get your reply. S might have a lot going on in his life. Let’s give him a little slack.
