New theme

    I'm going to hold off on dealing with avatar issues for a few days.  The forum theme isn't done yet.  Once it's up and ready then we'll deal with those issues.

    I like the new look, but it seems to clash somewhat with the colors of the board, which you'll have to admit is the reason most people visit this site.

    Let's see if my avatar works…

    The last posting from my ISP was under 90 seconds ago?  But I haven't even posted anything today!

    Edit: It's still there.

    Got to agree with Tommy – it looks real pretty but the subdued greys and muted blues of the central panel.

    The initial overhaul of the forum failed.  I'm kind of out on a limb because there's functionality built into the rest of the system that's lacking on the forum, now.  I'm going to give it another shot tonight or tomorrow.  I can't afford to pull another late-nighter, though.

    Lingster, don't stress over this.  Life's too short and your work on this board makes life better for all.  Your work is appreciated.  Take whatever time it takes within the bounds of your own sanity, health amd enjoyment.  Thanks for doing what you do.

    I run at 1400×1050, so pretty much any width is good for me 🙂

    Looks good, but I think there's a bug.
    When I try to go to page 2 of the new posts forum list, page 1 is rewritten, minus the updates already read, of course. Is the "2" bogus or doesn't the next page function work?

    The new theme seems nice, but there is something not right. I get a lot of white boxes with a red equis under the names of the members when I read the post in the Forum. I guess that those are the images of the stars that a member has for his/her posts. Is there anyone else with this problem?

    I too am getting the non functional "page 2" of unread posts.  Other than that, the format is nice.  It is just going to take getting used to… again. C'est la vie.
