ParticipantIn a dark, university basement, bristling with cold metal equipment, a television set on a file cabinet displayed a static chopped granular alarm. "This is an announcement from the Emergency Response System. An earthquake has compromised the central dam, and a hurricane is approaching. Citizens are advised to seek shelter in the local disater relief facilities.
The skittish lab tech pleaded, "Nora! Stop the experiment."
Laughter that pierced the thunder in the distance was the response of the PhD student. "Stop? This is the perfect time to complete the procedure! It may be the one assurance of our survival!"
"But if the power matrices are damaged, you'll be killed."
"Possibly so, It's a reasonable risk." The young woman folded her arms, climbed a stairway down into a laboratory and hooked herself up to a machine which clamped down on her limbs. "Start the sequence!" She shouted to her colleagues in the control room above.
Beads of sweat congealed on the technician's face as he recounted the sequence. "First-inject the growth hormone triggers…" He pushed a key on a control panel. His hands froze as a series of screams exploded from the lower chamber. He stared at Nora's prostrate form, thrashing against the restraint devices until a poke from behind reminded him what must be done.
"Two… administer a low amperage shock." He slowly turned a dial. Eletrodes fastened to Nora's nipples sparked and sputtered, and the smell of ozone wafted through the air."
The electricity was still crackling when the technician recalled. "What's the last operation?" He wiped a sluice of cold sweat off his brow and looked at his three colleagues. "What the hell is it?"
"Umm…Administer the inhibitors!" Somebody remembered.
"Right…" The technician reached for a bright red button, but he never pushed it. The building spasmed as the television bounced off the technician's head, knocking him out. He landed on the dial, increasing the voltage of the machine.
"Aftershock!" A biologist yelled and pulled everyone under a workbench. The hi precision technology shattered amidst the din of explosions. Nora issued an ear splitting scream as the tectonic upheaval worsened and walls collapsed around the hapless survivors, enclosing them beneath the table.
"The last one must have been a foreshock. This is the big one!"
Nora stopped screaming. A few minutes passed in silence. The students clutched to the legs of the table as a deluge tore through the building, splashing into the basement. The last conscious member of the research team expected to be drowned under the table as the waters lapped at his nostrils. Instead, he felt the ground undulate beneath him and a slight rising sensation. The rubble fell away, and he realized that he was free. He also realized that the ground was soft and somewhat sweaty.
The collapse of the walls revealed a strange scene. The afternoon sun extended a rainbow across the heavily raining sky. All the survivors were awake and aware of a rocking sensation. They were at sea atop a warm squishy pontoon.
"Where are we?" The lab tech asked.
"I don't know."
"Where's Nora?"
"Let's look for her." The five men began a trek across the floating landscape.
"What is this thing?"
"It's a little like an iceberg, but it seems to be organic."
"It's Nora!"
"Where?"
One of the men seemed to peer down a gently sloping cliff. His comarades joined him and gasped.
"Boys, we have encountered a complication." Nora called from the side of the structure, which was a disproportional extention of her own chest. She looked up, because her flesh would not allow her to breathe otherwise.

ParticipantThis is a very good start, Axel! I'd like to see where it or, should I say, she goes from here! 🙂

ParticipantThe five men stared at their colleague for a silent minute until Nora broke their reverie. "Hello! I need a little help here?"
"What precisely do you expect us to do?" A teenager with unkempt black hair asked.
"Tell me our location, Phil." Nora tried to look around, but she could only see patches of the sky.
"Details are unavailable, but we have washed out into the bay, and I think a current carried us into the Atlantic Ocean.
"Perhaps you can swim back?" A gangly man in torn jeans and a wrinkled t-shirt suggested.
"Marcus you fool, My feet won't even touch the water in this state."
"There's no need to insult him." A epicene blond boy interjected.
"Fine, Peter…" Nora said exasperated.
Phil spoke again. "Perhaps we could jump into the water and uh.. tow you."
A tall, muscular athlete responded. "That will certainly fail. We'd need about a kilometer of steel cable for this, and even at that it would be like hauling beached whales several miles."
"I'm right here." Nora snapped with a frown. "The water is calm, but you shouldn't go down there, Alan. I think I feel a couple sharks trying to bite me."
"Are you hurt?" Peter's locks flopped downward as he looked at Nora's uncomfortable form.
"No, It actually feels pretty good. I think the invincibility worked." Nora called out, trying to shake her head.
"The experiment was a success, in that case!" Phil, concluded brightly.
"You call this a success?" Nora slammed her fist into her chest, causing her passengers to lose their equilibrium.
"At least you managed to develop superpowers." Marcus pulled up his pants.
"You're right, but I want one of you to come down here and make sure I got them all."
"What exactly are we looking for?" The timorous lab technician asked.
"I thought I told you, Jack. I crafted the artificial genes so they would have an epistatic effect on my iris pigment when all of them were activated, remember? An hour ago I had brown eyes. If the powers worked, I predict that my eyes should be green or hazel or in an extreme case, blue."
Alan held Peter's ankles as he held Jack's. The hapless scientist dangled, squinting to see her eyes.
"Well, what color are they?"
"I think they're… purple!"
"Oh God!" Nora gasped. This sent a ripple through her curves, causing the two men to loose their grip. Jack plummeted toward the perilous water. He closed his eyes as he saw a visage of a restless shark growing toward him, but he was suddenly suspended by a feminine hand around his calf. Nora hauled him up with a smile on her massive face. Jack felt is breath quicken at the length and mass of her newly developed limbs. He, a 6'2" man, was only an inch taller and substantially thinner than the junoesque leg he clasped nervously.
"mmmm. You like?
Jack suddenly realized whom he wa groping and stiffened in a different way. Nora sensed this and purred.
"Don't worry, cutie. I'm not upset. In fact, feel free to suck something while you're down there. After nearly falling off her body five times, Nora put Jack on her shoulder. She noticed his expression. "Don't feel inadequate, I think we should wait until we're in a safer place before we have sex. Tell the guys about my desire to have sex with them tonight, ok?"
"All of them?" Jack frowned.
"Of course, do you think only one man can pleasure all this woman properly?" Nora laughed and resumed a more serious tone. "I'm going to try to gently throw you to the surface now. She flicked her friend and watched him sail out of view. "Sorry!" She called out, face glowing red.
It took Jack about threehours to crawl back to the edge of Nora's clevage. "Ouch!" Marcus exclaimed, pointing at Jack's contused face.
"This isn't so painful. The nipple broke my fall."
"Is your leg broken?"
"No, nothing is wrong with it at all." Jack easily stood up.
"Did you happen to measure her on your way back?" Alan asked.
Jack shrugged, "Not really. I lost count at thirty."
"Thirty what? Feet? Meters?"
"Extended Body Lengths" Jack contracted his calfs and raised his arms illustratively.
"What are we supposed to do? We have no food, no water, and no shelter." Phil inquired."Don't worry, the coast guard should come soon. This is a federal disaster area, and someone is bound to notice her.
"Take your clothes off!" A suggestion resounded from below.
"You want to have sex now?" Marcus asked incredulously.
"Yes! But maybe we should wait until we're ashore to do that. You all should fashion your clothing into a tent.
"Nora! What about you?"
"I'm photosynthetic, invincible, and immune to radiation. I'll be fine. Just relax and wait for the rescue vessel."
By the time the young men had managed to fashion sleeping bags from heir clothes, they heard the gentle rumble of Nora's snoring rocking them, and they fell asleep in the twilight.
