ParticipantI was led to an article mentioning The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) from a thread here which piqued my interest in the movie enough to watch it. After viewing the 2011 version I looked closer at the 2009 Millenium Trilogy and decided to watch those as well.
Noomi Rapace looked familiar to me. I recently saw her in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. I keep thinking she is reminding me of someone I know.
Anyhow, turns out that she is quite athletically built in Dragon Tattoo.
I took some mildly NSFW screen caps from Dragon Tattoo.

yeah i wonder If she was inspired by lesbian culture in her country to get in that kinda shape
As type of method acting OR was it director’s choice
Here in the Southern States of America this culture has a wider variety of body typesFebruary 6, 2012 at 4:18 pm #106186phenoms
ParticipantAccording to a Charlie Rose interview with Noomi, she spent 7 months prep before the first film and she mentioned transforming herself including physically for the role. She also takes credit for defining the character.
Honestly the interview leaves me wondering if there is much any difference between Swedish Film and Hollywood Film cultures. Not that I watch any Charlie Rose, but I am disappointed that he did not attempt to probe past the self aggrandizing.
I want to find interviews with the director and producer and anyone else who can either confirm or dispute her statements. Somewhere in the grays will be truth.
As for lesbian culture, what gave you that idea. It just looked like typical youth counter-culture of the “I’m different just like everybody else” persuasion.
Finally, “pec-tits”? Really? Could you have coined a less appealing term?
