Came across this NY Times article –
Link: NYTimes 05/27/08 – Women Want to Wrestle; Small Colleges Oblige by Katie Thomas
Was originally published a year ago, but I thought it might be of interest to the members of Amaz0ns. 8)
“I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.”
~ Mark Twain / Samuel Clemens (1907)
Despite wrestling’s growth among small colleges, there is concern over why larger institutions have not followed suit. More obscure sports like squash and synchronized swimming have been officially recognized as “emerging sports” for women by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, but wrestling has not made the seven-sport list.
Synchronised swimmimg an "emerging sport"? It's underwater dancing for Pete's sake ! ::)
I remember the story about a cheerleader who put a guy in a headlock during a scuffle at a military academy football game. 😀

Yes – beware cheerleaders! 😀
Arrgghh! For the past few hours I've trying to find out the title of this movie whose trailer I saw months ago! I think it was a small budget drama about a high school wrestler whose sister is on the team. He faces peer pressure to use performance drugs and faces new discords with his sister. I can't find anymore information on this online! What is this film?

Finally found it. It's entitled "Perfect Sport", starring Jessica Rose as the sister of the lead actor.
