Woo! I done good! I spent a bit debating on whether it was worth it to plug that in or not. >_>

May 10, 2008 at 4:28 am #63633DevonCoryParticipantAre those new textures Collector? They look good to me. Much more cut and defined than what we have access to right now. I'm curious to see the arms and legs though.
As a side note I wouldn't use the Guts body. Maybe stick to the default Fighter HGEC or maybe even the EBE (a WIP available through the EyeCandy forums). Right now the Guts body is too bulky, not defined enough. While it could look spectacular with good textures, I'm afraid it might be too imposing. We have to remember that if we change the female model, every female character in the game will have that body. I might be interested in having my character or my companions looking muscular, but not necessarily everyone else.
((Modding notes: Of course, while male and female characters have access to single meshes, they may have different textures when using custom races. But that's something else.))
May 10, 2008 at 7:50 pm #63634TC2ParticipantYeah those are new textures, the arms and legs haven't been completed or started yet which is why you're not seeing any screenshots regarding those. Some of the work on the forearms I think has been done but there's a lot of pieces missing.
Right now I would rather use the Guts body as a default and let everyone else use whatever body they want. Since the texture will be based off the default Eye Candy which is what Fighter HGEC comes from. You can easily just use the body you want in order to utilize the texture without me having to change a thing.
It is also possible with mods to have the body be its own separate piece or mesh.
For instance, my default Oblivion body uses Eshme's body by default for all the other females in the Oblivion world. While my character uses Eyecandy which has a much bigger and thicker physique than the others. I hope SOMEONE here knows how to mod so that way it can be done properly.
OH,
I forgot as well, the Guts body has also modeled a six back of abs on the body. So when you view it on its profile there are actual indentations where the muscle separation is. Sounds like a keeper in my book.

Interesting. I seem to remember an old OBSE mods which allowed for such a thing. Is this what you're talking about here, or do you know something I don't? 😉

Nice. I guess I should fire up NifSkope and take a look in greater detail.
May 11, 2008 at 6:00 am #63636TC2ParticipantI know I'm using the mod manager, but I'm not using any of the extended script things for Oblivion.
Apparently when I activated Eshme's mod, it came with the additional ability to EQUIP the original mesh of the female character.
So in my inventory I have "Original Hands, Feet, Chest, Legs"
In my directory I have files called "beth hands, feet, chest, legs" and also "female upperbody, female lower body, female hands" the second one symbolizing Eshme's.
So with that little bonus that came with Eshme's. The mod by default uses "female upper body, female lower body" so by simply replacing these files with eyecandy. I can switch meshes and have the women use Eshme's scrawny body, while my character uses the bigger, thicker, fuller body.

I never could get that straight in my head, let alone implement it. O_o Glad someone here knows what is what. I have been looking for a way to have that body on only my character for forever. >_>

Sounds interesting, but I'm not sure I understand how you do it.
Which .nif files are you replacing with Exnem's? The 'Beth' files? If so, it means that if you remove any armor or clothes you'll default back to Eshme, up until you re-equip the proper Exnemized body part. Is that so?
