My wife completed her first novella. She has written some short stories and co-authored with me in the past, but this time she was on her own.
Here is the description: Old Wounds, New Scars https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/1063238 tells the story of a husband whose long term desire for muscular women affects his employment and his marriage. The novella follows the couple from the perspective of both Bill and Cindy Marks as Cindy undertakes a journey to develop muscles and succeeds beyond her wildest dreams. The book also contains a bonus short story, the Muscular Teen. Here is a brief sample of the start:
“Do you like my muscles, Mr. Marks?” The sandy-haired teen asked, with a look of consternation.
There was a pause and then the answer that ended my career. “Yes.”
But that’s not how the conversation happened. Not really. But there I was watching a video that my principal had sent me trying to explain my actions. My look of confusion on the recorded Zoom video when watching Heather flexing her generous muscles didn’t seem to surprise the administration. Together we watched as she pranced on the screen in her white spaghetti strap top, her luscious swollen ripe dark nipples straining through the thin cotton.
“What about my pecs? Do you like my pecs?” She grabbed the collar of her shirt and pulled down the soft material. Great ridges of the prolific muscles cleaved as she flexed her chest muscles.
“Yes, I like your pecs. Show them to me.”
The film cut off at that point with me protesting, “But that’s not what happened.”
“Yes, Bill, we know.” The Assistant Superintendent of HR, Gloria Moore, a stern lady with a seemingly permanent upturned grin, even when delivering the news of one’s career-ending folly, replied.
“Then why are you showing me this?”
“Because it doesn’t look good and even though we’ve confirmed that this video has been edited the family is threatening to release it if we don’t give in to their terms.”
“But it didn’t happen that way and you know it, so why are you confronting me?”
“I understand your frustration, and you’re a great teacher so we’d like to keep you, but if I were you I’d accept the termination agreement.”
“But the union.”“The union already agreed. They honestly fought hard for you and got you a pretty nice golden handshake. Retirement package at fifty with time served. It’s like you got a ten-year bonus.”
“But, I don’t want to retire. It’s not like I’m some dot com guy. I can’t explain retiring at 50.”
“Look at this as an opportunity to do something else.” And that was it. In defeat, I signed the papers, but that wasn’t the last time I’d watch the video. I’d watched my termination video many times since with regret and a bit of lust. The young eighteen-year-old blonde, Heather Quick, had entrapped me on a school Zoom after class during the pandemic angling for a higher grade. It was unsettling at the time, but seemingly harmless. To this day I remember both versions as truth. In my version — reality, Heather, an athletic volleyball player who’d been on my team, was asking me about lifting.

“Um, yes Heather, you’re in good shape, but if you want to play in college, you could work on your shoulder and calf development a little more.” We had proceeded to discuss some exercises she could add to her already grueling workout routine. Admittedly, I was hot for her. Talking to her about exercises as she squeezed and pinched various muscle groups sent my pulse skyrocketing to the point where there was pounding in my ears, my breath quickened, and cock hardened. But I hadn’t said or done anything to cross the line. Or so I thought. It happened near the end of the call yet I hadn’t recorded that part of the conversation. I’d taken to shutting off the Zoom recording after class when I discussed individual problems with the “kids. That decision cost me as I had no defense against the video the family presented.”

I bought and read the latest book from the Greye family, this time Jayne.
I wrote a quick review if some of you are interested and wants to know a bit more about the book before buying it.Old Wound, New Scars’ is the first book released by Jayne Greye under her name, having supported and co-released lots of books with her husband Richard Greye. The writing is strong, smooth to read, and has great descriptive skills.
The book is focused on the relationship within a married couple, he looking to deal with his muscular fetish, which had an incident in his life. She is the loving wife, trying to please him by exercising regularly, thus short from his ideal by refusing to take PEDs. She uncovers this incident in his life and changes her mindset based on what she uncovered.
We immerse ourselves through the books in the changes brought by her new mindset, the effects on their lives, and their marriage. The aftermath brings a twist to the whole story, which could be compared to “Be careful what you wish for”, with the twist being “Be careful what and how you wish for… you might get it…but not as you wished.”
