So, I just tried to super-impose a face ona body, mostly to learn the ins and outs of photoshopping and morphing and whatnot, and this is what I could come up with my limited photoshop knowledge, trying to make it as real-looking as possible.

    try 2: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/2623/lolo126.jpg

is this noticeably photoshopped and badly done? and also what kind of advice could you give to a newbie in this kinda thing?

any tutorials would be appreciated as well.

    thanks!

My only advice, is you have to keep at it. Don't be afraid to experiment and try new techniques. I don't morph the same way now as when I started many years ago. Even now every image I make I learn a little something from it. Thats why I even keep my failures so that I can still see them when I want.

Great start. It's better than most I've seen. The biggest trick is matching skin tones & body angles and yours match well.

I did a tutorial on DA awhile back you might want to check out. It's one of the few remaining things they haven't taken down. Unfortunately all of the supporting images have been removed by DA.

Looks good.  I would add a bit more to the shoulder & biceps, and reduce the length of her head:
