And we've began a 'Peter David is the man' thread over here on the tails of the Dan Slott leaving She-Hulk thread  :D.

You realize I locked that thread before I started this one, right?  There's no point burying the Peter David news in a Dan Slott thread.

Great news! Shulkie has been so badly written of late (Not Slott's fault but the whole CW/WWH crossovers). PAD is the man to get her on the right track! I love his suggestion that Shulkie should be Marvel's own Wonder Woman. He may even give her diffterent "Hulk" personas. The uberbuffed "Savage" she hulk, the "Ally McBeal" she hulk, the "Wonder Woman" she hulk and so forth.

    'Bout time sayz I.  ;D

And I'll more then pleased if we get an uberbuffed FBBr "Thundra" She-Hulk – and that she stays that way.  ;D  8)

    Ah, if only What If?

Reed: Sorry Jen, but it looks like you're permanently stuck in Gammazon mode.

Jen: Fine with me, I'm through with this lawyer stuff, I'm going the personal trainer route . . . maybe start my own gym, call it Stronger then Ever.

I'M SOOOO THERE if Jen opens a gym. I just hope the weights will be heavy enough. It's hard getting a good pump nowadays. ;D

I'd never heard of the guy but seems like he's a pretty well respected guy… and that's half the battle in many respects… I don't think he's going to rock the boat though.

I suppose we'll just have to see where he's going to take her… female Wonder Woman is a lofty goal though… I mean, Marvel really doesn't have any equivalent to WW… I suppose Jean Grey is probably the best known Marvel female but I think that She-Hulk could be moulded into a "heavy hitter"… maybe.

I think Slott could have gotten the same effect if they'd just give him a decent artist who didn't make her look like she belonged in Marvel Adventures (cough *Rick Burchett* cough).

While Peter David's last bit I've read, Dark Tower, was good but not great, and I haven't read any of his Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, I'm still looking forward to seeing what he does.

For those who don't know his track record, Peter David is responsible for what many would call the quintessential Incredible Hulk run back in the 80's. I also believe he was the one who introduced the psychological elements of the Hulk's rage as well, which are still part of the character today.

That being said, I don't know if I want her to lose all of her quirkiness when PAD takes over. I've always liked how She-Hulk's been a book that doesn't take itself too seriously. Slott, as humorous as he was, did have moments where he juggled the severity of events with the laughs.

And while I'll miss the lawyer aspect of She-Hulk, I like the reasons David's staying away from it. I do hope he does something terrific with the title, although if Gail Simone got dropped into the book, we probably would get Marvel's answer to Wonder Woman  :D… albeit big and green.

Just watching her work out in the gym should give you plenty of a hard, pump-up – nuff said.   😉 ;D

(Yes folks someone had to say it – it's too good an opening not to.)

Beside, who better then Jen to be the personal trainer of the MU.
