ParticipantI'd like to know if if somebody would mind that I post some pics of Warrior Woman ( http://www.marvel.com/universe/Warrior_Woman ) or Ingrid Weiss ( http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/i/ingweiss.htm ) both nazis amazons wearing clothes clearly featuring svastikas…
I'd perfectly understand that some of you would be shocked to see them on the forum, myself I'm not really at ease with seing them. :-[
So let me know what you think about it… :-July 15, 2008 at 8:22 am #73419Zespara Alathar
ParticipantNo matter what people say, you cannot nor should you deny the past. People may wish to bury their heads in the sand but WWII had Nazis and there was a holocaust.
I say go ahead and show us the comic pages. 🙂

ParticipantWe've got to face the unpleasant past. (And the pleasant-looking baddie that comes with it.)
I say slap 'em up.

AlexGKeymasterWell, you can't get more Nazi then Red Skull, and he's still a major character of Marvel – part of the current Captain America storyline, in fact.
Or what in the way of many swastikas-bearing supervillians in the recent JSA storyline – if anything DC is more blatant about displaying that symbol of evil then Marvel is.
As long as you're posting them within a proper context, I don't think there'd be any problem w/ them.

ParticipantSure, post them. Not like they are real people.

ParticipantAs my father said, "You can do anything if you put your mind to it." Go to it, Ze Fly – I have faith in you.

ParticipantNot so long ago, gamers had the opportunity to see a trailer for the next Resident Evil. It showed a (white) guy blasting (black) african zombies.
Of course, clamors of indignation followed. It didn't matter to these people that these were zombies, that most africans are black skinned and that the character involved was of caucasian decent. They didn't bother trying to understand the context. No. What mattered to them was that some white dude was killing black folk… the rest, the story, the context didn't matter. To these people this was racism pure and simple!
Was this reaction class A-1 stupid? Hell yes. >:(
So I say post away, because there will always be people who get easily offended. Hopefully, people around these boards are more intelligent than that.

ParticipantUnless the Aryan super-villainesses are shooting "DIE JEW SCUM!" and throwing babies into furnaces, I'm surprised the question needs to be asked. Is this forum perceived as being that hyper-sensitive?
