Elda has been captured by a cohort of imperial soldiers. She is now in the capital, where she is to be trained as a gladiator. Her first day at school turns out to get a bit rough. Her male fellow-inmates seem not to see a warrior in her but rather a woman. What a mistake!

Although she is still bound, she can kill two of the men. Since slaves are the property of the empire, Elda has to pay for her crime: at the whipping stocks.
