Oof…please, someone just make a clip of this, because if it's as minor as Delmo says, there is no way in hell I'm watching that piece of junk just to determine whether it needs to be mentioned in the FMiC list.
Seriously. If it were Batman: TAS, I'd definetly watch it. But The Batman? Pfft.
Also, I dunno if I should make a seperate topic considering it's a "blink and you'll miss it" moment, but in one episode of Teen Titans, it's clearly implied that Starfire is INCREDIBLY strong. If you're a fan of the series, you'll know Cyborg is generally the 'strong guy'. But in one episode(Overdrive), Cyborgs day is being planned out and one of them is "Workout with Starfire". And wouldn't ya know, she's doing well over twice the weight he's doing with one arm 😉
(And for any comic fans, Starfires supposed to be right up there with Wonder Woman :P)

Ah well.
I have to say, I find "The Batman" greatly inferior to The Animated Series, Gotham Knights and Batman Beyond.
And yet they cancelled the also-superior Teen Titans so that The Batman can have Robin. 😡

Yep. The news went out a couple of weeks ago, and just recently we found out that TB is introducing Robin and Cyborg will be on Smallville. Despite the fact that TT is still popular and is a zillion times better than TB and Smallville put together. 😡
December 13, 2005 at 5:28 am #13936Prophet TenebraeParticipantI don't even see how that works? The Batman is practically a different continuity to Teen Titans
The Batman was a show I basically watched and thought "So… this going to get good anytime?". If they're cancelling Teen Titans for that, well – that's just another demnostrable sign of the idiocy of networks.
Smallville had a good first 3 seasons but the quality from the start of season 4 has been massively reduced. 5 is a bit better but I mean, you get rid of Pete and don't really replace him except with Lois Lane cameos, WTF?
Starfire and Raven were both cute… bah. The only possible redemption there could be would be Rampage in Smallville and that's NEVER going to happen. I'll wager they make Cyborg weak too.
December 13, 2005 at 6:29 am #13937Delmo Walters Jr.ParticipantSo, TT gets cancelled so Robin can be introduced into The Batman, and Cyborg is going to appear in Smallville? God, this crap makes my head hurt.
I enjoy TT but, am annoyed that the producers decided never to do either a crossover with JL/JLU or mention the mentors/partners of characters like Robin, Speedy, Aqualad, or Kid Flash(who just debuted in a recent episode).
I also don't understand the need to cancel TT so Robin can appear in The Batman. Consider this-there are 2 animated versions of Batman, both produced by WB. Why can't there be 2 animated versions of Robin?
As for Cyborg in Smallville, that really makes no sense. I realize that these series aren't going to follow comic continuity like a roadmap but, when they do stuff like this, it just boggles the mind.
December 13, 2005 at 8:28 am #13938fungo09ParticipantDamn atleast justice league is comming back for a few episodes… Im not sure if this is the last season or not… other than that on sat nights i watch naruto and one piece… But teen titans was just gettin interesting with like all the evil characters getting together..l god this sucks

The only reason Batman is still on JLU is because he's one of the main characters. Ever since "The Batman" started, the JLU writers have been forbidden to use any of Batman's villains or supporting cast. And ever since Aquaman appeared on Smallville, they've been unable to use any Aquaman characters, either. (Hence why Black Manta was rechristened "Devil Ray" in the Viking Prince episode.)
The reason for this? The WB execs are idiots.

Amen, brother.
December 14, 2005 at 7:23 am #13941fungo09ParticipantBatman the animated series was continued in gotham knights it was the same storyline….but it wasnt as good…. anyway theyre all dicks on the wb ruining a great show as tt and then fucking with justice league… and for what a breif appearence from aqua man which has no buisness being in smallville for a single episode no less? smallville should be smallville and not go and try to incorporate some superman characters, does anyone indeed know if this is the last year of justice league?
