private messages?

    Is it now supposed to be the case that you can only send private messages to people you’ve designated as friends? I have never noticed this as a limitation in earlier versions of the site.
    This does not appear to be an issue when you click on the link below the user’s avatar, but only if you follow the private messages link.

    I dunno, that’s kind of good moi. I had this one fellow that kept on coming back to the forums to send me a PM as to how I suck for insulting the cash grab ex***** productions. You know, Amazon werewolves whatever, (thinks he’s a filmmaker) dude. But I’m all in favor of an option to enable or disable the friends requirement.

    I wish you would have reported that. I mean, I know the guy wants to have your children but unfortunately that’s not the kind of behavior we like to have goin’ on around here. I thought I nailed all his accounts.

    Is this feature still active? Because I’ve been trying to reply to a correspondent who recently sent me a PM, but when I hit “Add Reply”, it didn’t work.

    It is still active, Alex and I use them to communicate frequently. Possible browser plugin conflict?

    Never mind, it appears to have been resolved. I’m using Internet Explorer 8.
