ParticipantI'm having a problem reading PMs; I click on the subject header of the message and instead I'm taken to the main topics listings. Could someone please look into this?
(Fortunately, I have e-mail notification turned on; I was able to respond to an important PM through the e-mail link.)

KeymasterI'm aware of it. I've looked at the code and can't figure where it's going wrong. It's on a bug tracking list for the software bridge we use.

ParticipantI's too am having issue with the PM system but the same as our dear David.
I's am not receiving notification of messages -either on the site or in my's e-mail (and it is set for such)- and thus miss messages from people. Resulting in a few e-mails calling I rude because I's made no response to a message that I's did not know I's had.
There are also others with similair problems.
Can anything be done or is it simply a random gliche which we will have to endure?
Peace

KeymasterWell, when you scroll down the page on the PM page, your messages will be there in full. So it's a matter of a bad link WITHIN the page, not a bad link TO a page.
As for not receiving email sent by the PM server, there is no misconfiguration of the server. I receive dozens of status emails from the server every week, letting me know when I have a PM or (most frequently) when there's a bounce from a bad email address. You may have your settings configured so you do not receive mail when you receive a PM.

No. My's settings are configured for notification.
Nothing has changed there. Which is most odd.
I's have also been receiving doubt notifications of PMs as well -a doppleganger to one first received- but I's think this is merely a random fault and no real issue.Peace

ParticipantI dont have a problem retrieving PM's from Amaz0ns itself AND I get an Email notification too.
I DO have a problem with the Chat room tho'. All I get is a line that says "Welcome Pete" and thats it. I run an "ordinary"(?) PC, but it might be something to do with Macromedia flash. I couldn't begin to tell you what version I have or even if I have it at all. Can someone suggest how I can update it.
Thanks

PeteI'm pretty sure I fixed that on Saturday. Are you sure you're still getting that?

KeymasterThe author of the forum integration code has announced that this PM bug will be fixed in an upcoming version release. He didn't put a timetable on it but I suspect that means within a month. It is apparently non-trivial.
