I used to watch this sitcom a lot in the 90s – and still catch reruns now and again.  Anyway, this is kind of a "where are they now" drawing.

I used a new technique (for me at least) to draw this. It involved pasting body parts and tracing over them.  If anyone is interested, here is the basic process I used:

    —-

    Step 1 – Preliminary Sketch

Add drop shadows, major light, and generally fix the picture up. The artwork is finished!

    Very informative procedural MuskelGrothe.

With a little variance in line weight I'd be convinced you drew those ladies without a collage to guide you. Great work!

I tried something like that as well a while back but my results were a LOT more 'bloopy' and unrefined. I'll take your practicals into account next time.

The show would have been much much more entertaining if they were even remotely looking like that  ;D

Well, this is the first work I've put up on DA; here's the link:

I noticed others post thumbs to their pages.  I tried to figure it out, but I couldn't find any obvious way that worked, so I'll wait until later.

Dana and Carol had decent tone, especially Dana's calves and arms (though she usually wore sleeves).  They weren't bad for Hollywood female muscle.  Recent pics of Christine Lakin (Al) show she has gone the complete opposite direction – for almost an anorexic look.

This may help you out.  I posted this quick tutorial in another thread:

About your question about thumbnails, I had been using imageshack/photobucket, but there's actually a semi-easier way that I've been using recently to post thumbnails from Deviantart.  It's not that intuitive though:

    1) On the deviation page click Share this/Blog it
    2) Select LiveJournal (even if you don't have an account, don't worry)
    3) It'll bring you to LiveJournal with the code in place, click the HTML tab.
    4) Copy the code and go to this HTML to BBCode convertor, paste it in and hit the Submit button
    5) Copy the BBCode (which should look like the below snippet) and paste it into the forums:

The benefit of doing this is that it references Deviantart's thumbnails so you don't have to worry about involving a third-party image host.  The downside is that it's more difficult to post multiple images using this method.  BTW, Some of those images were NSFW, remember to make a note on those.  Hope that helps.

Once you use this method a few times, it becomes second nature.  You can also stay in Rich Text mode at LiveJournal if you want to adjust the text or remove the DeviantART text and links.  Hope that helps.

Interesting construction method.  Maybe I should try it out.
