I absolutely cannot stand her. And we’re both lesbians, and I am ashamed to say she is one. She gives us girls a bad rap, and there is nothing more offensive and repugnant than a loud mouthed blubber mouth that might as well kick and scream for her to be the center of attention. I don’t march around here in Chicago for people to accept me or my opinions, and neither should she. She goes against every characteristic a woman should be… I value a strong willed woman, but only for her family and/or wife.
I wish I could slap the shit out of her.
Sorry, she just really irritates me. I’m usually not this emotional about things… well, I am about a nice buff babe, but that’s for another thread.

I agree

And I think Rosie would be perfect as a game-show host. I think the same of Bill O'Reilly.

Thanks sweetie… :-*
I didn't mean to drop a bomb, its just that this is something I thought I faced in college… some dumb dyke who ran her mouth for the sake of attention. I hate using the word 'dyke', but she really just gets under my skin in all the wrong ways. But she has given us girls such a bad name… so now, whatever lesbian is shouting the loudest on TV, their face is put to OUR lives, and whenever our friends and family see me, they always want to know what I think of Rosie.
But love and peace is my style, and I typically don't get all worked up over things, especially in the nutty media realm. Sorry about that…
So let me quell this rebellion with a boquet of flowers and a kiss…
Peace AND love (what a sexy combination),

June 21, 2007 at 10:14 am #53981DavidParticipantI used to enjoy Rosie when she was less of a public figure but as she became more of one and used that exposure to throw her not inconsiderable weight around backed by a rather dim-bulb view of the world she's become an obnoxious bore. Her loud and aggressive personality will not be a good combination for TPIR or any show when you get down to it.
There was an artist I used to like and hoped to get a commission from but as he proved himself to be a crack-pot I even deleted the files I had on my PC.June 21, 2007 at 2:14 pm #53982JimmyDimplesParticipantI wonder if Tom Kennedy (Nightime TPIR) would be due for a short comeback if the CBS Brass can't make a decision? It's likely he's as old and less in shape as Barker though.
Never seen John O'Hurley unfortunately.
My thoughts exactly. I remembered Tom on his nighttime run. He's no Bob, but I'd prefer him. And Wink Martindale… is he doing anything earth-shakingly important right now?
Oh, and Vollar-tile… a confession.
I first remember and loving TPIR when I was only 4. And that was way back when Bob Barker's hair was naturally brown (AFAIK). And it had been a childhood dream: when I got old enough, if the show was still on, I was going to go to Hollywood and attend a show, and if I could… get on as a contestant. I dreamed (and still do sometimes) of what I'd do, what I'd say, and what I'd win.
It's something I never followed up on, because I simply didn't have the cash or time to go to LA. And NOW, when I just might have the frequent flyer miles… Bob retires. I figure, well, seeing his replacement's better than nothing.
If it's Rosie, though… my dream is dead. :'(
Oh well… there's still GSN reruns and YouTube…
