That is sad to hear. He's a talented artist and a really nice guy. I don't have a problem with him wanting to start selling his art either. Each artwork takes many hours to complete. It's only fair to get something back for all the time you put in.

I reckon he'll be back one day though. I've learnt firsthand that this particular interest of ours isn't something that you can just turn off.

Yep! That's pretty fair, and that's why i never post something I purchased from a "little" editor, such as LH-ART or DSB Homepage… it's already hard enough for them to earn some money.
So, i can't blame him either and hope he'll succeed in whatever he undertake. 🙂 Farewell!

I actually offered to buy femxman's line drawings but he never got back to me, oh well it would have been nice to hang them on my walls  :-

Well if he is quiting because it doesn't sell as good as he expected, then one could assume he did it all for the money, no? And if that is the case, then why would he bother to pick it up again?  ???

I think he had something like 500 rough drawings of muscular women that he was trying to get rid of. I find it hard to believe that you would draw so much of a particular subject matter unless it was more than just a passing interest. The way I see it is that drawing is his first love and muscular women a close second. I guess he felt that his drawing skills, and perhaps a potential professional career, were suffering because of what he was drawing all the time. A similar thing happened to WreckShop and AOS. Thankfully, AOS made a full comeback and WreckShop now draws the odd muscular woman from time to time.

It's a pity FemXMan didn't come to this board and tell us the reasons himself.

And if that's the case and he's getting out of the business, perhaps he'd offer his artwork either for free, or at a discounted price to entice more people to buy it? Video game companies, for instance, do it all the time when they "close up shop" — they'll offer up their games as freeware or abandonware, since they're getting out of the business anyway.

See, that was my point! If I would put so much work, time and effort into those drawings (500!!!), then I just don't throw them on the dumps, without anyone even being able to see them. I find such an attitude a bit troubling. He could have – for example – offered them to LH-Art (awe-films – or whoever else)for a fix price. Then at least some other people would have had something of them. So thats why I think there can't really be devotion behind it all. You just don't throw 500 pictures into the rubbish if you can't make a buck of them.

first, I regret that another good artist decides tostop drawing. Fem Xman is an amazing artist and I miss him.
Second, I think it is nit easy to sell your stuff to some sites. The only one that might buy artwork is LHArt, Awefilms has long since posted anything about art (not since they "bought" Massive productions)and there aren't any more drawing related sites of FMG/FBB and the like.
I'm sure he regrets throwing aside so much artwork, but eventually, one loses all hope, and decides to make a U-turn. That's what happened with Wreck, and I think many others. It is not an easy task to earn yourt living as an artist, and specially one that specialices in a very particular subject. Maybe he feels his art is worth a certain price, but people aren't fond of paying such price. I don't know how many of us have actually comissioned work from the artists.

Anyhow, it is a not an easy decision, and I'm sure he  gave it a lot of thought. If he thinks this is the best for him, then there is not much we can do about it.

Seems waldo2000 is a member of Saradas, a forum for women bodybuilders that post adult stuff and such, and there has been a problem between Femxman and Saradas for a very long time. He has been banned a few times from there. Some times about femxman using a different nicks and about using his art without his permission. I don't remember how long ago this was. Anyways, Femxman cut himself from Saradas and that was about it.

Please don't tell me you're defending Saradas.

ALL they do is steal stuff. And to call it a 'forum for women bodybuilders' is complete bullshit.

Never said I defended Saradas, all I said was Femxman doesn't like Saradas and they don't care much for him. I clicked on a link Waldo posted and it directed me to Saradas.
