    Sally Kimball is the muscle behind the Brown Detective Agency in the Encyclopedia Brown series by Donald J Sobol. He describes her as a champion athlete in several disciplines and even depicts her as a skilled boxer – and these stories were written at a time when women’s boxing did not exist! Her last appearance is in the last Encyclopedia Brown story, wriien in 2012, just before her creator died.

    Keep in mind that Sally was 10 yrs.old when the series began&had never made it past 5th grade because fictional characters are immortal
    But if you wanna crowdfund a Brown Detective Agency fan film with real bodybuilding actors pretending to be 5th graders like SNL allowed Eddie Murphy to pretend to be Buckwheat from Lil Rascals
    I’m all for it!!!

    Of course, I realize that Sally is only supposed to be ten years old – I’ve known that for over thirty years now! I also have no desire to create an Encyclopedia Brown fan film.
