Most likely the lifestyle. Wrestlers are on the road like 340 days a year, doing tons of shows a week, specially if you work for the WWE.

Purely at a guess, I somehow suspect their marriage was based on pheromone attraction, rather than forming a family and having children, which is the brick of civilization. If so, better that they had a short-term love affair, and when it ended, could go amiably on their own ways sans having to wade through the legal (and potentially expensive – emotionally, as well as financially) process to officially sever the ties their relationship.
