Anyone picked it up? It was really good and Lyra is finally able to free Jen. I really like how Lyra Looks up to Jen like a big sister/aunt.

    My thoughts on the matter…

Short version – disappointing. Who reading this needs all the backstory we’ve HEARD BEFORE?! And if there WAS a place for backstory was it really in a 3 issue mini-series? No.

Same here. This whole Red Hulk/Hulked Out Heroes event would have been done and over in three issues of The Defenders or something. Didn’t like how the art changed. First few pages were acceptable, but when Red Shulkie turns up, it becomes cartoony, anime anatomy.

I believe the style is called “animu”… which is kind of the bastard offspring of Western and manga/anime style that generally pisses off most people…

But honestly, this reminds me of how Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk just wasted a bunch of time rehashing stuff. Although, I suppose Savage She-Hulks gets off the hook a bit as there’s the POSSIBILITY people might not know this backstory… even if being stuck in the enemy strong hold makes the recounting of tales past incredibly idiotic.

No no, this is animu http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs39/f/2008/341/7/1/Animu___Mango_by_PsychoAlexia.jpg
(basically, people why try their hardest to make their style look as much as that stereotypical japanese style as possible)

That she hulk art is only a little influenced.
That being said, too bad they switched artist. I really liked the guy who did issue ones art.

I’d consider that style “animesque” or “faux manga”. But it looks inspired by Joe Madureria and Joseph Scott Campbell. By now they’ve developed past the style of Masami Obari and Tsukasa Kotobuki.
