Maybe you all missed the smiley in my original post. As to my "clumsy" and "ill-considered" words I might state, that English is not my native language and when reading stories and posts on this forum, I sometimes have to use an online dictionary.
I think I am a well mannered person and I try to avoid conflict. Thats one reason I stay away from political posts and keep my thoughts to myself. It is better to shut up than to get everyone upset about such issues.
But when people claim that I'm "inflammatory" because I voice my true opinion and taste, then with all due respect – such people are hypersensitive – to say the least. All I said was that if she had bigger breasts I would like her even more. That just a plain and simple opinion and I don't see how that is insulting to anyone on this forum.
I take the views and tastes of the other members on this forum as they are, even if I don't share or like them. I'm not insulted or offended by them. I don't want to convert them to my views and I'm not going to get a fit if someone disagrees with me. It simply doesn't bother me.
I also see no need for anyone to apologize for the things they said, because they have a right to their views as much as I have to mine.
Honestly – if any outsider reads this thread, he must think we really have no life than to get upset about such a non-issue.
I hope this is now settled and there is no further need to dwell on the matter. I will try to keep my mouth shut.

Well, if English is not your mother tongue then I think we can forgive you to a greater or lesser extent.  I know that stating things very plainly is easier when you're writing in a foreign language, but English is a subtle language and it might be a wise idea to buy a thesaurus if you do not already have one in order to find other ways of saying things.  I don't feel that we were being hypersensitive because, to a native English-speaker your words seemed very stark and harsh.  Plain speaking is often a good thing, but if the words get too plain, then meaning can be lost.

I certainly did not feel offended, and I doubt anyone else did – you said nothing against us – but I did feel that you were judging FBBs by your personal taste very harshly.  As I said, there's nothing wrong with expressing opinion and personal taste, but your words seemed (obviously unintentionally) to be stating your views as if they were facts that we should all agree with.  I personally do not rate Shawna Walker amongst my top 5, but she is in my top 10.

As for opinion – opinions tend to be less valid if they are based on assumption rather than knowledge.  Breasts are fatty tissue, and will therefore decrease quite dramatically in the run-up to competition.  Compare the photo of Shawna you posted with this offseason shot

    http://www.shawnawalker.com/bphoto/1/20.jpg

and you can see that, whilst she is small-breasted normally, offseason does bring them back a bit.  For a starker example of this, see Johanna Dejager or Gina Davis.  My point is, therefore, that using a contest photo to judge how large an FBs' breasts are is unreliable and not advised.

I completely agree. Many time somewhere, someone will post something that isn't 100% supportive of an fbb's appearance, and the fbb-lovers just smash the shit out of the guy or defend their opinions with terminal intensity. They overreact.

So I agree with you. And I couldn't tell your English was a second language – it was absolutely fine, and I would hope you would continue to post at least as frequently as you have been. I don't think you should try to keep your mouth shut at all. 🙂

Oh I agree – I think Lupus writes very well and I'd hate to see him stop posting just because of this.  I suppose I did overreact slightly; the problem is that typed words don't enable tones of voice and subtleties to be apparent.  Things can be taken too seriously.  My point is that, after being told-off for being too bluntly critical of a photo early-on  my membership here, I learned to express my views more subtly.  I don't see that Lupus being a non-native English speaker makes any difference, I just felt (as did others) that his words were too strong given the opinion he tried to convey.

It's great to see her in something sporty and tight that shows-off her abs – she normally seems to be photographed in floaty dresses.

I should imagine that meeting her face-to-face is quite…not intimidating, because I would definitely NOT be scared  ;D, but awe-inspiring, perhaps; her height combined with those big arms must make her appearance very Amazonic. 8)
