ParticipantIf you're wondering how I got my info, I've been doing research on this topic for several years. Using that data I've got I'm hoping to experiment with people's reaction if I created a character that was muscular, but you didn't notice until halfway into the movie. If people fall in love with personality, will they forget that the character has muscles?
I'll keep you updated on that experiment
Sounds like an interesting experiment. I look forward to hearing the effect it has.

ParticipantYour point is valid, AlexG – the Incredible Hulk has been around for quite some time… but he's managed to keep his hulking manhood tucked away for decades… but then, the same is true of She-Hulk – nighties to cover her naughty bits… but I think that it's fairly easy to ignore the penis… the breasts tend to be rather more prominent and generally – breast expansion is either erotic or comic… and that's something that is going to put a dent in selling the concept as serious.
I think that it is all very much about how it's packaged. You're not going to get away with turning a mousy Jen Walters into 7' of hulkingly ripped jade giantess with tits to make Chelsea Charms feel flat. You can push the limits I think – so, yes probably one of the less extreme FBBs… and the breasts couldn't be too huge (proportionally). You'd need to do it properly and you couldn't make it gratuitous but yeah… I think you could probably do it in a mainstream friendly way. I suppose the question is whether it's worth the compromise.

ParticipantBelieve it or not…I've also gave much thought about a She-Hulk movie, even before the question is asked. I think the growing effects should be similar to those of the remake of "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman". In this movie, the woman grew and ripped out of her clothing. It wasn't done as violently as the Hulk, but the growth was immediate. And regarding her bosom, even though the shirt ripped completely off, she retained her bra…kind of like it "grew" with her. Also, whenever FemForcehad their characters growing (Tara and Garganta), their bikinis stretched to cover the "naughty" spots. I think She-Hulk would be more accepted (generally) on those terms.
Also, She-Hulk should be as the name sounds…she should follow similar problems as Dr. Banner did (as far as having things frustrate her and make her angry so she would transform). If she were to moan in ecstasy, or have it be sensual, there wouldn't be much of a market for the mainstream audience because censorship would stop it cold (stupid Censors!).
Lastly, I believe the She-Hulk character in the movie, should stay true to the somewhat "savage" nature. Savage She-Hulk wasn't a tantrum-throwing giant like the Hulk…but she still didn't take any mess. More and more people are embracing the movement of empowering women…I think She-Hulk would be a good movement for that (hopefully, without dogging all men–like the remake of "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman" did). Collector, I'd love to hear the results of your experiment, too!

Well, as we've all learned in Avengers: Search for the She-Hulk, its not anger that makes Jen TF into the Savage-incredible She-Hulk, but fear. 😉 8)

ParticipantGood point, Alex. You're right…it was fear.

ParticipantI wouldn't really say it was a taboo subject or a fetish shunned by the public eye…
I just think no one really cares enough ::)

ParticipantGiven that particular problem was precipitated by a rather specific set of circumstances… what's his name doing something with radiation… I think that's a debatable now that she's recovered from that.
I don't know if I'd be keen on it being like the 50ft woman – assuming we're talking the trashy 90s remake. It was too… sudden. For her to be more Savage era… I'm not sure, I think that the current incarnation – fun loving and empowered and such.
I'd agree with Ritz too – it's presumably a matter of apathy.

ParticipantI never considered apathy before…that's sad…but I guess it's all a matter of taste.

Unfortunately, modern Western society tends to be very apathetic. >:(

ParticipantEh, if you were a fan of swallowing poo logs or a fan of watching chinese people singing country and western, you'd probably feel the same.
It's all POV really.
