ParticipantI'm bumping this up to see if anyone knows whether or not this animated series will return to Cartoon Network, or was it cancelled like that Spider-Man Unlimited series that was cancelled due to Pokemon?

ParticipantThe made a full first season – it's currently airing on YTV… Showing on Friday?
Anyway, by MY reckoning… 2 weeks on Friday, we hit pay dirt.
EDIT: Scratch that… looks as if they've stopped short of the mark… bah.

ParticipantI think I caught a glimpe of the fantastic 4 episode, pure garbage. I saw the one where Hulk made a guest appearance, and he looked pretty damn ugly. I wouldn't expect a lot of muscle in shulkie at all, just a green super model. Quite lame in my opinion.

I thought Spider-Man Unlimited was cancelled because it sucked.

Thanks for that.
As for Spider-Man Unlimited being cancelled because it sucked vs being killed in the ratings by Pokemon, you could be right. I only watched the 1st episode. Giving Spider-Man a costume made of nanites and sending him to Counter-Earth(what longtime Marvel fan ever thought he would see Counter-Earth in an animated series?)was not exactly a recipe for success.

We'll have to wait and see. Nobody ever said the Hulk was a beauty.

You're mistaken.
Spider-man Unlimited was not canceled because of Pokemon.
Spider-man Unlimited was canceled because it sucked 😛And I really like this show. It doesn't go out of it's way, falling all over itself to deny the other superheroes exist. When Dr. Doom/Reed is in New York, a cabby even asks if he's Iron Man.
I would love a season finale down the road that involves Ultron and Dr. Doom begrudgingly team up, and the Avengers come to help rescue the day.
The NEW Avengers should be involved just to get Luke Cage and Spidey on the show.

ParticipantThe LAST Avengers cartoon (which lasted even less time than Spiderman Unlimited… and about the same glancing moment as the cell shaded Spiderman) was awful.
To be honest, it still surprises me that the likes of Justice League Unlimited and Teen Titans were cancelled… And that we've had no X-men cartoons for some time… given the number of superhero films, seems as if we should be awash with thing selling kids toylines…
Another Hulk cartoon would make sense, it's been 10 years since the last one, new pretty high profile film out in a year… still, never try and apply logic to these things.
Anyway, I guess the She-Hulk episode happens when it happens… but I won't be holding my breath for a superbuff amazon.

ParticipantActually, the Avengers cartoon ran a full season-13 episodes. I know because I taped them all. Spider-Man Unlimited did not. I'm not even sure if 13 episodes were produced.
I don't think TT & JLU were cancelled because of ratings. I thought they just stopped production because they had made enough episodes to strip.
There's talk of a Shazam! animated series for 2008, and a new Spider-Man animated for KidsWB/CW in 2008.
