As of this week (the new Exiles, I think), She-Hulk no longer exists.
Let me provide some backstory: Iron Man is now basically the king of all the superheroes in America, and a few months back, he shot the Hulk into space. She-Hulk just found out after having been his assistant and lover for a few months now. She's gone now, though. I thought this place would be best to mourn her.
Edit: I guess the scan isn't showing up now. It's She-Hulk finding out Bruce got shot into space and attacking Iron Man, who used nanobots to take away her powers and dump her in New Jersey as Jennifer.
April 27, 2007 at 1:03 pm #51120ChuckParticipantDo not be sad. She'll get her powers back.
*gently pats a big box with a radioactive warning on it*
She'll get her powers back ;).
Also, you have to admit that losing her powers is the one foolproof way to jettison her out of all that stupid Initiative garbage Marvel tossed into her lap.
It does allow us perspective to remember exactly who Jen is beneath all the muscled green, which has probably gotten muddled as the last few issues have gone on.
But like I said, patience… she'll be back… *pats the big box of gamma radioactive isotopes*
April 27, 2007 at 1:08 pm #51121ChuckParticipantAlso, I have to say this:
SHE SLEPT WITH TONY GORRAM STARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That has to carry some kind of consequence to it, and sadly, losing her powers is probably it :'(
If any forum members want to hulk out and crush a car for Shulkie, I'll leave the box of gamma radiation in the forum lobby.

April 27, 2007 at 2:59 pm #51123Prophet TenebraeParticipantUh… if depowering her is simple… one assumes that the same trick could be used on the Hulk? Or would that be asking too much of continuity? I assume there will be some easy explanation… but I imagine Jen will be able to get her powers back… or Dan's book is dead.
April 27, 2007 at 4:01 pm #51124AlexGKeymasterWell, if you all recall during Civil War Captain America pulled something similar on Iron Man to depower him – it didn't last long, his armor overcoming it.
The same will be true of Jen, of that I don't doubt.
As for high handed kings like Iron Man, the bigger they are, the harder they (eventually) fall.
Hulk isn't the only one upset with the Illuminati. No doubt Thor is going to want to have some "choice words" with Tony, Reed, etal about that abomination of a clone called Clor that they made in his absence . . . 8)

April 27, 2007 at 4:31 pm #51126fasolaParticipantIt is sad, but I will be completely devastedted, when the last part of the World without Hulk saga finishes, we actually see Jen discovering the plot, and we can red what Slott has inside his head for the title. Remember that this is Exiles, and I'm sure we all know what Slott feels about people messing with his characters.
I'm also not toi worried, because of all the things I've read about Jen being an important player in the upcoming World War Hulk saga.
And this is just my speculation, but one thing I would love to read, as this year's big universe event, because let's be realistic, Marvel has been releasing supposedly Universe Shattering events for many years now, since Dissasembled, and World War Hulk, isn't the exeption, but this time I think it might end up beeing a great storyline. And what I hope to see, is the Green cousins, the Jade monsters, the Gamma Gods (yeah, whatever) completely destroying the Marvel Universe, demolishing the Civil War/Initiative concept, and returning the Marvel U to normal.
And don't forget this years second Blockbuster hit (or so they think) the Back in Black story wit hyour friendly webslinger. The only thing I hope, is that they don't make it a multy title sotry, line the ol' days.
Man, that was a big runt.
April 27, 2007 at 5:39 pm #51127ChuckParticipantIf anything, I wonder if this is supposed to lead into this:
http://www.marvel.com/catalog/?book_id=7066
HOwever, it's worth noting that on a majority of covers for the comics after Planet without a Hulk, Jen is depicted as Jen and not She-Hulk on the cover. The cover for this book I believe is Jen shouting at She-Hulk. So… Jen losing her powers might be the genuine article.
Time will tell once Shulkie #18 comes out.
And it'll be interesting to see how a title that's been regarded as a side feature in the Marvel Universe fixes 90% of its continuity problems. 😉
April 27, 2007 at 11:06 pm #51128TigersanParticipantHmm i bought the 4th paperback but havent got the time to read it yet and i dont think it covers that part of the story yet, im gonna wait for 5th one…
