I just checked it out, I was wrong this is the same movie I was talking about before. Their main actress for She-Hulk unprofessionally quit on them and they have had to re-cast. I don't know if they re-cast her or not but there is absolutely no muscle involved with the main She-Hulk actress. Essentially it's a movie about a green woman, they're reticent to release further details but considering the budget I wouldn't expect much.
January 17, 2008 at 10:07 pm #65884Deadly PixxxieParticipantHey, Fonzie…..thanks for the clips that was very helpful.
Alex…if collector can't say anything nice about what's going on, why the fuck is he in this thread? To whine and bitch? That's counter-productive. So he can throw a cry-baby fit and say that I started it, I don't care. His grumbling about how much this is gonna suck is only bringing this thread down.
Think about it.
January 17, 2008 at 10:22 pm #65885nescaroParticipantWell if I may chime in briefly, since I usually take the hope for the best expect the worst route I have a bad feeling collector's right on the money but then again I've been wrong before. Either way assuming I've got any money whenever this happens I'll take a look, but I'm keeping my expectations low, like I do for most other things. Even if it's bad there's still a chance to be entertaining after all and that's really all I look for. Right I'll shut up now.
January 17, 2008 at 10:29 pm #65886TC2ParticipantAll I said was that it was an independent movie that was most likely not going to have transformations. How hell does that bring the thread down? Pixxie go waste your time drooling over garbage videos, I will say whatever I damn please.
Where's the ignore button on this forum?
Anyway guys, I believe their website is orangecow productions or something like that. Just review some of the footage there and you'll know EXACTLY what to expect from the She-Hulk independent movie.
January 17, 2008 at 11:00 pm #65887randy guillotteParticipantHello, all. Sure don't want to get in the middle of anything but I just went to the source http://www.ffrevolution.com/biggreen/vids and had to laugh at some of the clips they had of what appeared to be a spoof of the She-hulk. Now, don't get me wrong, I would enjoy a good movie of SH and ANYTHING that ANYONE takes time to produce is o.k. by me. If it's a spoof, so be it. If it has good TF and lots of muscle, so be it. Anyway I see it, it has to be a step in the right direction for eventually getting a good SH movie. Anything rather than another attempt at some Hulk bomb.
January 17, 2008 at 11:02 pm #65888Amazon LoverParticipantAs co-administrator of this forum, I decree from this point on that there be no more bickering between Collector and Pixxxie, or stating who started it. I don't care who started it; that excuse wouldn't work for me or my friends in elementary school, and it's not going to work for anyone here. From this point on in the thread, there will be no more discussion of the disagreement between the two aforementioned forum members. I don't care who you agree with, or even if you have some constructive criticism. From the end of this post on, it will be as though the argument never happened.
If the two of you wish to argue with each other, please keep it out of this forum. The rest of us wish to read these posts and we do not want petty arguing right in the middle of it. I would also like to stress that Alex is the other moderator, and if he says for you two to stop arguing, then you stop, instead of whining to him about how the other person is at fault. By the same token, I don't want you whining to me about the decision. If the other is going to keep arguing, he will be dealt with by Alex or myself, and you'd do best to just stay out of it.
My apologies to everyone for the interruptions. I request that everyone remember that this forum is intended for fun… let's keep it that way. Thank you.
January 18, 2008 at 1:03 am #65889dravenspiritParticipantRiiiiiight… well I think Randy has a good point. I try to be optimistic about things like this, and I apologize if this was 'old news' to anyone. I didnt find anything about it during a forum search so I thought Id ask around. No harm done. Anyhow, thanks to those who provided more links/info. I got a response today from Mr Muscat himself…
"Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to discuss anything about the film. Your best bet would be to Google the title periodically. That way, you will know whether anything is planned as far as when and where it will be released. You will also know if a IMDb page has been set up. That's a definite way to keep tack of what it's status is.
Good luck,
Mike"Not much to be said, but Im still curious about it. Keeping my fingers crossed.
January 18, 2008 at 1:52 am #65890Deadly PixxxieParticipantDraven,
That's cool that Mr. Muscat wrote you back.
February 1, 2008 at 6:12 am #65891ocpmovieParticipantHi, this is Garr*tt Gilchrist. I wrote and directed the film Shamelessly She-H*lk.
I've registered here just to post this and respond to some comments which have been made.
If you have questions about the movie, you can email me at tygerbug at yahoo.com. I'd rather you didn't email my cast. I'm happy enough to provide updates.
I've watched the clip at Youtube, and those are indeed clips from my film, though unfinished. I edited Mike's acting reel, and I guess he's Youtubed it.
I've also noticed that our still photographer put up some pictures on her website.
Everyone did good work on the film so I won't stop them.
However, I've been avoiding putting anything of my film on the web. I'd actually appreciate it if people wouldn't link to these videos from my film, please.
There's a lot of editing left to do on this film. We've shot well over 50 hours of footage. I don't want to annoy M*rvel's lawyers, since this is a small not for profit fanfilm. I don't want to talk much about this film online until it's done and in the hands of the internet.
I have noticed the interest in this film from the muscle and transformation subcultures with some alarm. It's not an aspect of the movie I'm really interested in talking about.
The cast worked hard to make a serious drama (and at times a serious comedy!) – I made my casting decisions based entirely on acting ability. I feel we've made a really good movie here, told a really good story, and I'd rather have it not be reduced to that sort of discussion, I hope you'll understand.
The film is the ultimate treat for She-Hulk fans, I think. It retells the entire story of the Savage She-Hulk run, with the comedic Sensational She-Hulk as our narrator – with breaks as she battles supervillains like Xemnu the Titan, Captain Weathermaster (created for the film), and …. well, Titania if I finish shooting.
The actress playing She-Hulk is not a bodybuilder, she's not gigantic, she's not actually green. What good actress would be? My model for her was very much the John Byrne She-Hulk, who was basically very feminine and looked like any other Byrne female, just bigger, brasher and more powerful.
Rather like the difference between Christopher Reeve and the way they draw Superman in the comics. Christopher Reeve is a human – Superman is a cartoon. That's the difference.
I'm just telling the story of the character, how a shy young woman becomes a famous superheroine, leaving some friends and family behind in the process.
Characters in the film: Jennifer Walters, Morris Walters, Zapper, Buck Bukowski, Nick Trask, Bruce Banner, Spider-man, Howard the Duck, The Incredible Hulk ….. many others ….
Richard Rory is not in this film. He has a very tiny cameo in the script which I may or may not include.
The film is 90% shot. The Bruce Banner and Titania scenes have been holding me up.
At no point did the actress playing She-Hulk quit. The actress who originally played Jennifer Walters did leave the film early on, and she was replaced by another very talented actress.
I will not answer questions about transformations, etc.
I think you will all enjoy this film a whole lot — even those who are complaining about it here will really like if if they like She-Hulk as a character. The Savage and Sensational She-Hulk runs are both covered at length just as you'd want them to be. It's well acted and a lot of fun.
It's not "that kind of movie" though. It's a serious film – the drama is dramatic, the comedy is comedic, and I don't want it reduced to …. that …. you know. I feel you will enjoy the film, but not for "those reasons" – more for the reasons that you might enjoy Buffy, or, hell, most of the She-Hulk comics.
February 1, 2008 at 7:17 am #65892TC2ParticipantWhy does "that" come off like it's supposed to be an insult or something? I have a few choice words, but I'm just going to keep my mouth shut and not cause any trouble.
