Well, the He-Man transformation was considerable… She-Ra pretty much got a costume change and hairdo…
I actually thought the new He-Man series was pretty decent… not awe inspiring but fairly cool and such. If they'd done a She-Ra type story in the same vein, I think it could have been good… but yeah, she should definitely have actually LOOKED the part for the Princess of Power… as it was in the original cartoon, she was pretty much just a princess.
Actually, I imagine She-Ra might be more popular because the story was – at least theoretically – darker than He-Man… what with her fighting to free the land from the Horde, as well as the fact she had actually been on the side of the bad guys.

But… Why not a She-Ra film?
I can think of two reasons: :-
(1) Madam Razz
(2) Loo-KeeJune 4, 2007 at 2:38 am #52623JackParticipantWow! Now those are some extremely sexy drawings! It'd be great to see that version of her stomping around throwing tanks about and stuff, but it's tragically unlikely to happen. Thanks for the great drawings, though.
June 4, 2007 at 3:16 am #52624Vollar-TileParticipantLooking at those drawings gets me hopeful over two things that very well may never happen; A continuation of the He-Man 2000 cartoon with Hordak, and a significant She-Ra appearance, if not a spin-off series of her own. :'(
Considering the feats and such that He-Man pulled off in the time of his own series (tossing a pillar a into the sun, busting up Snake Mountain, and the solo fight against the entire group of the Masters of Evil), She-Ra would definitely pull off some great stuff if the production crew included her in the series.
Wasn't there an interview with the writers about the possibility of a continuation of the new He-Man series, and on the possible inclusion of She-Ra?
*sigh…..*

They made She-ra show darker story but with sugar coated characters= BAAAD Combo.
I wish they made more muscley, Than I would believe she can lift a Big rock and throw it!July 19, 2018 at 8:00 pm #139989Bane DorranceParticipant
