Yes, I agree with you completely. I think it would be just win-win situation for both sides: athletes could get more publicity for their sponsors and hence more money, and the fans could get more information about the athletes. It doesn't turn these sportswomen into a objects of lust, don't take this that way. But just clips about their training, a bit of glance behind the public curtains. How they train, prepare to the competitions and so on.
Male competitors seem to have understood this possibility. For example take a look of Nordic throwers like Tero Pitkämäki and Andreas Thorkildsen. I reckon, that athlets like Abakumova would get lots of attention with just simple web pages. It doesn't take much.
Aneta Florczyk has over 500 000 visitors even though she represents really non-public sport, but she updates her sites often, is on TV shows etc. But I guess this isn't necassery for ahtletes, who gets fund by some goverment or whatever supports olympic athletes (I don't know about these much), but still it would be more income and how that could do any harm. But you always have to remember, that usually intense training comes always first to them, and they don't have much time and energy to think anything else.
But if somebody of these needs a manager to do these for them, I wouldn't charge too much ;D

Thank-you sir – I LOVE cute female athletes who use their stength in the pursuit of sporting success, and Hanna-Maria is someone I have been looking-for since I saw short-course swimming coverag on TV a couple of years ago. I remember seeing this stunning, Valkyric blonde Finn with huge shoulders and falling in love with her. ;D ::) 😉 8)
I believe she's seeing some coach there in the UK. >:(

I'm child of the internet age and used to the idea, that everything in the net is free, which naturally is not the case. I have to find out about those. I don't want to post anything illegal.
e: Ehh, there is fair use doctrine right in the news. How blind can you be.
