ParticipantFunny how I used to hate Star Trek as a kid in the 70s (I thought it was boring, particularly vis a vis Star Wars and
Battlestar Galactica, the two competing Sci-Fi franchises of the time), but now I absolutely love going back
and watching the original series, both movies (1 through 4) and the TV series. The TV Series were tight, efficient
shows, some of them with really intelligent and thoughtful plots, and of course the superb chemistry between Kirk
(“Warp speed, Mr Sulu”), Spock (“That course of action is simply not logical, Captain”) and McCoy (“Why you green-blooded,
inhuman monster!”). A nice bonus was all the smokin’ hot late 60’s babes in those supershort Fedration miniskirts! I’d
really recommend buying the remastered collection of the original series (all 3 seasons) for those of you who haven’t seen it.December 4, 2014 at 12:00 pm #123527SammiChung
ParticipantI always imagined it was Kirk who asked Starfleet for the short micro skirt uni’s for the females… you know it wouldn’t take long for him to tap them females inbetween shifts and crisis’s XD

That could be true, but what I mean is that he had to go back to Bespin and find it (along with what’s left of his old hand).
That’s something that they did in the old Expanded Universe (now Legends).

ParticipantAs a friendly reminder… Luke’s sister is Leia, and Luke had a son in the now defunct UE, I seriously doubt that Luke is giving his ‘daughter’ his lightsaber to fight Leia… not to be a b*tch but… that would NOT be a good way to reintroduce the Star Wars Universe having an Old Leia falling to the darkside… >.> just saying…

ParticipantDidn’t excite me as much as the first one. I think its not a good idea for them to release 2 teasers and a trailer, you’re giving up far too much of the movie by doing that. All ready you can deduce a lot of things about the story from the 2 teasers.
I hope I have the willpower NOT to view the trailer when it comes out. I want to go into movie knowing very little about it. -
