When thinking of comic book buffed female superbeings the first that generally come to mind are She-Hulk, Titania, Thundra, Big Barda, Rampage or even in certain artistic cases Wonder Woman.
Another of Marvel's creations that certainly has/had a great deal of untapped potiental (a possible adversary for She-Hulk?) was the seven-foot tall Stunner from the Amazing Spider-man . . . 8)

Thank you for knocking the cobwebs loose AlexG.
If memory serves wasn’t Stunner some sort of badass idealized thought projection/hologram powered by the yearnings of a handicapped girl hooked into one of Doctor Octopus’s inventions?
If so where would the brains behind the brawn be floating in current continuity? In particular how would an ‘Ultimate Stunner’ be imagined as?
Thanks for posting this overlooked sequential superbeing. 😀
The reference pages are divine 😉

According to SpiderFan.org, Stunner volunteered her physical essence to resurrect Doc Ock. Of course, since Stunner’s body was virtual, the resurrection ceremony knocked her real self into a coma, which she’s still in.

Comic books being a reflection of pop-culture, she was created during the time period of the mid-90’s when such was all the rage (aside from the holodeck in STTNG, anyone else remember VR5 or Harsh Realm?) as to its various possibilities. I might add, though she’s in a coma now there’s no reason that she couldn’t be resurrected again – after all, even being "dead" in the MU doesn’t preclude an ambitious writer from bring them back to life once again. I can picture more then a few scenarios, including one that involves dropping the VR element all together in favor of physical metamorphosis that spontaneously occurs as she comes out of her coma . . . 8)

On a side note, I’ve probably caused a back issue run on this particular issue in the comic stores – of which is currently on a discounted sale at Mile High Comics if its not availible at your local shop.
