Yes, she was the virtual reality "ideal" projection of Angelina Brancale, the then girl-friend/love interest of Dr Octopus – her existence as a recurring character lasted for about three years time. Comic books being a reflection of pop-culture, she was created during the time period of the mid-90’s when such was all the rage (aside from the holodeck in STTNG, anyone else remember VR5 or Harsh Realm?) as to its various possibilities. I might add, though she’s in a coma now there’s no reason that she couldn’t be resurrected again – after all, even being "dead" in the MU doesn’t preclude an ambitious writer from bring them back to life once again. I can picture more then a few formats, including one that involves dropping the VR element all together in favor of physical metamorphosis that spontaneously occurs as she comes out of her coma . . . 8)
Furthermore, you miss the obvious possiblity that someone bothered to make an archival record f the VR simulacrum.

I always wondered about having her VR counterpart become part of her due to the massive feedback that she received. It just took her body a while to recover from the shock. 😈

Did I now? No offense intended, but what did I say that implied that I didn’t think of that as well, otherwise? Frankly, I would prefer the un-obvious as my first preferred alternative choice.

Around the time of the Clone saga, there was a special "encylopedia" of Spider-Man characters – a $2.50 or $2.95 single issue which I think was supposed to be The Jackyl’s secret database. The Stunner picture in there was by the current Hulk artist, Liam Sharpe, and she was REALLY big and sexy.

Don’t know what to tell you other then that there seems to be some glitch going on at Imageshack, have to wait and see if it clears up. 8)
