I think the padding has moved a little down so it looks out of place. Maybe, and we can only hope, Melissa Benoist did hit the gym and she does have some size beneath that suit. One can dream, right?

    OMG!
Pads did move according to current picture OR atleast shifted

I thought that the season two premiere guest starring Superman was pretty good. I felt it had more of a serious tone and not as silly as the first season.

Definitely serious tone just no MUSCLE tone,…guy playing Clark Kent/Superman is built like a swimmer not a farm boy
Also Jimmy Olsen could totally dunk a basketball on CK…
how are we suppose to believe that Jimmy looks up to a guy who he has to look down at to stare in the face
ALMOST makes 1 forget about the “Whole TRying To Sleep With BEST FRIEND’s cousin”thing,…Almost!!

They sure have given her a lot of padding this season!!

I guess they got a bigger budget this season. Time to invest in padding company.

Because muscle in women is considered unattractive. The same reason heroines in movies are usually not even fit.

It’s a niche audience interest/attraction, that true. The ebb tide in TV/movies seems to have been the late 90s / early 2000s. I know what you mean, though. But it’s a misnomer to say that they’re not fit, at least by the mainstream standards of “fitness” in popular media.

What you meant to say (**I think**) was that they’re not physically built-up to the level a Fitness, Physique or CrossFit athlete, which realistically speaking, would be what you would expect a woman to look like if she’s punching out, tossing around huge men that outweigh them by a factor of 2x / 3x. Suspension of disbelief – epic fail. It’s just not plausible to see an unathletic waif the size of some these petite actresses doing what they are doing in action or super heroine flicks.

Depend on the movie I guess. Hollywood never cared who they cast. They can cast an anorexic actress in the lead role beating up everyone.
If you want proof look at women in MMA. Most are not very muscular but can beat up men twice their size. And they still don’t look like Taylor Swift.
