ParticipantRead the bottom part. Guy never had a bottom with the right. Until the left found out he was helping the right.

Comics, TV and media tend to have a left lean. I can understand they want to explore, but is it necessary to do that on every TV show? It becomes a barinwashing tool.
I agree with this. Though I am technically left leaning, DC and Marvel are banking so far left that I’m getting annoyed with them too. Ah let’s just throw in gays and this and that for the sake of “diversity.” It’s funny to me how the left always chastises the right for being extremist conservative when in reality they should hold up a mirror and realize they do the exact same thing on the other side.
E.G. I should not serve jail time because I accidentally called someone a he or a she, when that person self identies as an IT or non binary. It’s like WTF?
But I am too old to get use to new pronouns?
I would assume gender before I realized it.
November 1, 2017 at 2:01 am #137211unkn0wnx
ParticipantI thought this show would be a girly drama with “superheroes”, and I start to think I was right. There is more drama on that show than real girly dramas. And also snuck in some liberal stuff. Wonder who the target audience is?

ParticipantI stopped watching this show because the cable channel that had it was taken off my provider. But the second season was a mess because of its lack of focus and the awful romantic arc on Mon-El. I think the show should be cut in half to 30 minutes. Half the time they focus on Supergirl’s supporting characters and then their problems eventually fall on Kara’s lap. It’s better if they had their own show while Kara had hers.
I also got a chance to watch Birdy the Might:Decode. That was amazingly far better than Supergirl. They even did the romance better.

ParticipantCompare anime to Supergirl? Not a fair comparison, Japanese have some kind of magic. American writers mmust be in some kind of guild or something (sorry to say). One piece can make me cry.

You described the show’s flaws excellently.

KeymasterAlright, I’ll admit I watched the SG, Flash, Arrow, Legends crossover w/ the Nazis of Earth X / 10
It was alright (been there, done that before, if you know the JSA comics of a few yrs ago) but again the SJW on steroids w/ the male kissing (Citizen Cold / Ray) once (ok, I get the point) but not twice, but thrice, now that’s pushing the homo agenda down our throats.
Enough already!

LOL. I saw that too. I can see they want a gay kiss, but kept going back was really unnecessary. Did it make the show better?

ParticipantI rented, some time ago, the first disc of the first season, and those four episodes were enough for me. I can suspend my disbelief up to a point, but not farther. I remember there were three or four sequences I just could not believe. The only one I can remember is when Kara, in her street clothes no less, is engulfed in flames, which would have burned every stitch of clothing off of her body, and comes out of it with a few smudges. I also seem to recall a scene where her feet are skidding along a railroad track (I may be wrong about this), and the heels don’t completely disappear from the friction. The same thing also applies when you lift an airplane, a huge apartment building or a frozen lake by the corner. The entire structure would fall apart or you’ll end up with a piece of wing tip or frozen shard in your hand.
